Ashmire, once you get the blog rolling and have some sample photos posted you might want to consider cross-posting to other sites such as

http://pinterest.com/

Where photos, food, fashion, etc. stream in and if people like them enough they have options to share them amongst their friends with links back to the original site.

Could drive some traffic to your site.

Amazon is now requiring sellers to provide Tax Identification Numbers. :-/

Beginning in 2011, sellers who exceed 50 transactions in a calendar year, regardless of sales volume, will be required by Amazon to provide taxpayer identification information to Amazon. If the required information is not provided to Amazon by December 26, 2011, your Amazon selling privileges will be suspended until you provide the information.

That sucks. Having just moved to a high sales tax state (NY) from a zero sales tax state, I've been doing a lot more shopping on Amazon Marketplace and eBay, sometimes for things I normally would have purchased at a brick-and-mortar store. No more toiletries and groceries from Amazon, sigh, as I assume those sellers are all 50+ transactions/year. For books, I'll just have to check feedback to see if they've hit that level. Seems a bit unfair.

hey folks!!!

just sat here eating breakfast ready to go do some work and thought i would pop in and say hello and reply to some seriously long overdue messages (sorry!).

hope all are well - things are ok here and moving along at the usual snails pace

upside though, i am starting a gaming group just before christmas, which will be the first of a few games to get everyone "into the mood of things".... have a few nice little "on the fly" adventures which will take 1 session each to complete and then when everyone is more comfortable with things, we will proceed onto something bigger.

amazingly, where we are, gamers are coming out of the woodwork quite literally - its pretty outstanding!

i am getting folk coming into the shop with "hey, i hear your starting off a gaming group" !!!

so what i am doing it the few small games and then maybe a module to test the water with the guys - the group (at my choice) is a nice mix of long-term gamers and some new folk who are excited at giving the game a go - i have concentrated on folk who are more interested in the roleplay gaming aspect, rather than anything else, as i want it to be fun and everyone to enjoy the company.

my first choice of a "built" adventure if you will, is the village of hommlet, which i think is perfect for the purpose.

what do y'all think? any other better alternatives? of course, i am going to run tegel manor at some point - would be poor form if i didnt

life might be tough in some ways, but gaming-wise, the future is bright it would seem

and last before i dash off....the jets still suck it would seem..... eesh.

The IRS requires the 1099-K for 20K and 200 transactions. Amazon is requiring everyone with 50 or more transactions to provide their TIN (which is your SSN or other TIN), so they have it on hand to file the 1099-K for anyone with 20K or 200 or more. If you don't comply they won't let you sell anymore. I wouldn't be surprised if Ebay begins doing something similar in the future (they have to file the 1099-K as well).

I recall seeing a notice from EBay some time ago about this, unfortunatelynot any of the details, but I think the amount was $10K. Don't remember if there were any transaction minimums. Something was supposed to happen this year, but full on reporting wasn't supposed to happen until 2012.

Can't seem to find the notice, so I guess I'm not really being of any help.

i will do mate...great to hear from you!!!

i have already been mulling over some possible adjustments to the shrew encounter. for those that have read the old tegel before...will notice the 2nd level down is rat infested....weeeeeeell guess what could be there instead...but then there are openings that come out into the main floor at opportune areas that would just add to the fun
