maybe not 100% historically accurate, but a great film nonetheless :D

Kelly's Heroes asks the musical question:

"What would World War II have been like if it had taken place on television during the 1970's with the cast of MASH substituted for actual soldiers?"

The closest game equivalent would be...I believe...Panzer Pranks.

Malcolms spot on with all of this - sums up my feelings of the world cup thus far (and I've got the Germans in the work sweepstake, so potentially happy days!!)

Especially as they seem to be exploiting some sort of rules loophole that apparently allows them to deploy a team of 15 instead of the normal 11    Though to be more serious, one good reason for rooting for the German team (even though they defeated the much feted Argentina - my sweepstake pick!) is that they play really well as a team rather than funneling everything up to one (underperformaing) overhyped football superstar.  Or if you want another reason - they just play *beautiful* football  :D

The real story is that these eating competitions are so widespread they have spawned a New York based organization.

Hey, ho; heads-up for the bad ol' guilt by general association days making their periodic return... (stick to dice not CRPGs/MMOs? :?)

A martial arts instructor who dubbed himself the "Dungeon Master" has been jailed indefinitely for sexually abusing four boys.

Nicholas Tuley, 43, of Preston in Lancashire, used the fantasy game Dungeons and Dragons to ingratiate himself to his victims.

<clip>

He added: "In addition to the Ju Jitsu he had other activities which he was instrumental in involving the youngsters at the club, such as Dungeons and Dragons and trampolining.

"The Crown say this offered an extensive opportunity to identify those likely to be most vulnerable and then ingratiate into their lives and sexually abuse them."

His victims were invited to his home to play a fantasy role-play game on his computer where each would imitate a character.

"Tuley was the Dungeon Master," said Mr Birrell.

"He was in control of the scenarios the children played."

Quick, let's ban dog leashes as that is a common lure and ruse, too. And, that doesn't say anything for clowns which should be summarily executed on principle.

Heh, heh... nm.

Will see what the tabloid reaction is, but that story only just missed the BBC front page (looked like about a 50-50 from the placement) so I'm guessing they won't ignore it. Forewarned is forearmed in case it crops up in conversation.

Xaxaxe, your avatar has to be the funniest one since that other guy had the picture from the sexual harrassment seminar.

In the movie, we only saw this shot for a merciful moment.  As your avatar, we have to watch Sting stand there, getting gayer and gayer as the image burns.

Now to find these so called remodel/construction/what have you loans.
