A couple of updates:

Both Jeff Grubb and Erol Otus have had to cancel this year due to work issues, both want to come back next year and we will make that happen;

Jeff Easley has signed on to appear, he missed last year so hopefully his presence again will make up a bit for Otus!

Registration for games is in two weeks (12:01 AM April 15th), and we have less than 100 spots available for attendees (after raising the amount of pre-con reservations to 350 this year).  Please get signed up and paid asap, otherwise you will have to walkup, and frankly there may not be room this year (we might be able to squeeze a couple people in because of inevitable cancellations, but you shouldn't bank on it).

I couldn't help but notice that there are currently no Sunday games/events on the schedule up yet.  There are going to be Sunday events, correct?  And for that matter, are most of the games/events that are going to be offered already posted?  I'm already trying to plan where I'd like to register.   :?

Yes, there are Sunday events up. Try checking again. If you are searching by "View by Category" for another day that has more than 1 page of results and you are on the 2nd or 3rd page, and then switch to Sunday, it will return no results because there is only 1 page of Sunday. This happened to me too. Clear your search and start again and it will come up.

That worked.  Thanks!  :)

I also used the game grid to see the Sunday events.

I'll be around all morning and available to run my new game (playtest) if you (and anyone) are interested - plays in 30 minutes or more depending on the adventure chosen.

Registration is tonight (well, technically tomorrow morning) at midnight.  If you haven't already registered with the site and the con, you won't be able to sign up for games! We still have 69 reserved spots available......

I had five games on my list, and got into all of them.  And it looks like there's still a lot of good games with open slots.

Very smooth registration (thanks Doug and Mike!) and, luckily, I got everything I wanted. There are still a seats available in my Friday AS&SH game, so make sure to grab one if you're free then. I'm adding a whole new level, unseen at Gary Con, so maybe one of these two groups will be the first to explore it - should be very cool! Also, Dennis Pipes' Thursday night AS&SH game (Return to the Tomb of Horrors) still has some seats too, so I would check that out if you are free. I wanted to play it myself, but I had already obligated myself to run part of the K&KA Social long ago. Anyway, really looking forward to this year's convention!

Wednesday, June 1
6p-12a Vanquishing Leviathan's 1E game: The Dungeon of Dracula

Thursday, June 2
6p-12a K&KA Social (a 1E deathtrap dungeon with rotating referees)

Friday, June 3
12p-6p my AS&SH game: The Strange Tale of Crystal Point (6/8 seats filled)
7p-12a tacojohn's 1E game: Necropolis

Saturday, June 4
10a-4p Welleran's 1E game: Sightless Sisters
6p-12a my AS&SH game: The Strange Tale of Crystal Point (8/8 seats filled)

Hey, guys. I'm not a con guy, but I might be passing through Dallas right when this thing is happening. What, if any, admission options are there for someone that just wants to pop in for a minute, look around, do a little shopping?

It depends on how fast you are.....just kidding.  I suspect you'll have to register for the day in order to do that, but maybe not.  Hopefully someone official will give you an answer on this thread soon.   8)

Here's my crammed schedule:

Wed night
The Dungeon of Dracula (6PM-12AM)

Thursday
Outdoor Survival (10AM-4:00PM)
B1 In Search of the Unknown 2016 (6:00PM-12AM)

Friday
City of the Revenant (10AM-4:00PM)
Out of the Dark (6PM-12AM)

Saturday
A Hot Day in Hell (9AM-4:00PM)
The Mansion of Mad Professor Ludlow (6:00PM-12AM)

Sunday
It Was Easy Getting In (9:00AM-2PM)

I got a lot of what I wanted, but I missed out on the gaming session I wanted most, The Medusa's Revenge with Steve Winter.  It was the second thing I registered for, thought I had it, but then when I reviewed my picks, I was not listed as a participant.  I guess everyone registered for that at the same time, and I just missed the cut.  Maybe someone will drop out, but it's not likely.   :(   Anyway, I know I'll have a great time, and I am looking forward to it!   :D

Things went smoothly on my end, although pages reloaded slowly (could've been my awful Frontier service).

Got all but 2 games that I wanted, missed Steve Winter's Boot Hill game and Jon's Necropolis session.  But, all in all, pretty pleased with the seats.

Plus, I'm getting to game with a few of you for the first time this year, excited!

Thanks for reminding me about the Acaeum pin.  It is still stuck on last years badge I think.

Word of advice.  I played in Night of the Black Swords last year and I think our party lasted an hour....maybe.  We were wiped out pretty quickly.  And the reason was that we simply weren't evil enough.  Too many years playing good or semi-good characters I guess.

Be as calculatingly evil as you can stomach and don't second guess your decisions and your party might last longer than ours.

Guess I can post my game schedule while I'm here (first post in quite a while!)
.
Wednesday I will be gleefully taking part in Ben Burns' Ultimate Dinosaur Fighting tournament.
Thursday morning I will be playing in my first ever Traveller game with Stan Shinn.
Thursday evening will be the traditional (for me anyway) Paranoia game with the aforementioned Ben Burns.
Friday morning is The Morandir Company with Grodog.  Looking forward to sitting at his game table once again.
Friday night is Metamorphosis Alpha with Michael Curtis.
Saturday morning is the Starstrands adventure with Steve Marsh.  Hopefully with a cinnamon roll and a players copy of the game.  :D
Saturday night is a return to the Known World with the esteemed Steve Winter.
Sunday morning I will be playing Boot Hill with Allan Hammack.  Missed out on Gamma World, breaking a four year streak.

Looking forward to seeing all of you there!

No problem!  If you decide to do this just look for me or Doug and explain the situation, we'll let you roam around for awhile.
