Allan, do you plan on making these items available via the mail before or after the CON? Thanks, looking fwd to this/these.

Yes, BC will be available via Black Blade as usual, and it's not specifically-benefiting NTX, so I shouldn't have interjected them here, probably

No it's good to know what will be coming out that week at the con, hopefully it will be ready by then because I know it would sell like hotcakes!

As of now, there are 198 registered attendees.  Which means that NTRPGCon has broken that all-important threshold -- less than 10% of the attendees are special guests!   :P

Getting the items chosen for the Live Auction this year.....limiting it to about 30 nice items so we won't go over our allotted time, it's really tough to just have thirty....here is a partial listing so far, these will be on display Saturday before the auction so any potential bidders can check them out.

NAME OF ITEM
1. RPGA1 To the Aid of Falx Signed
2. Swords & Wizardry White Box Rules
3. Insidious (Signed)
4. D&D Read Along Cassettes (SW)
5. Wilmark Dynasty Seven Modules
6. H3 Bloodstone Wars Signed Gary Gygax
7. Grenadier Miniatures Fantasy Drinking Cups Set
8. RPGA2 The Investigation of Hydell SW
9. Set of New Infinities Gord the Rogue Books
10. Strategic Review 1-7
11. Dragon Magazine #3 Andre Norton Copy
12. D&D Japanese Module B8
13. D&D Japanese Module M1
14. D&D Japanese Module X8
15. D&D French Module B4
16. Bottle City Limited Edition
17. Castle Zagyg Boxed Set
18. H1 Bloodstone Pass Mint Shrink
19. D&D 10th Anniversary Set Mint SW B1 B3 B5
20. Lost Caverns of Tsojconth Tournament Version
21. OD&D White Box 7th Print Complete, Fair
22. Greyhawk Wars Box SW
23. GDQ1-7 EX with mapbook
24. Supplement II Blackmoor 1st Print

I've already pulled over 60 items for the silent auction, there will be some really nice items there, most with a minimum bid of $10. Items include Dragon Magazine Calendars, Call of Cthulhu items, Top Secret Set, Centerstage miniatures, older DCC modules, and lots of odds and ends.

I have a full two boxes and more items for the Midnight auctions. Lots of really eclectic goodies, most beginning at $1 opening bids, including: T-shirts, board games, worn/used modules, signed RPG items, original artwork, stickers, dice, little known oddball gaming items, and a section I'm calling "Satanic Panic!" with lots of totally inappropriate RPG goodies from the devilish 80s including a copy of Tom Hank's Mazes and Monsters!

I think I need to add a few non-D&D type items....right now looking at a copy of Tractics and a boxed Arduin trilogy?

Some details for the Midnight Auctions:

Each person interested in bidding will get a notecard with a number on it. you get these notecards from me anytime before the auction, just come to my booth (which is in front next to check in) or there will be some available the night of the auction at the door of the Centreport Room (where the auction will be held). These numbers will be linked to your name, to make it easier and faster to group your winnings when the auction is over at 1 am. When you bid on and win an item, just give us your "number", and when the auction is over we will total up your winnings and you can either pay cash there at the table or credit card via Doug at the front desk.

If you win under $20 worth of stuff, you are required to pay cash only for your winnings.

Winnings will NOT be shipped.

Winnings will only be held until Sunday afternoon 6 pm...if they have not been claimed and no prior arrangements made, they will go back in the box for next year. And I'll remember you next time!!!

A percentage of the entire auction will go to the children's charity Variety Texas (the same one that benefits from the Charity Game)

You are welcome to donate items. We will also sell items for you, you must give us a minimum bid, and 20% of that goes to charity. Unless the item goes for under $10, then the entire amount goes to charity (I'm not worrying about paying you 20% of ten bucks, sorry). So if you want to me to sell something for you in the midnight auctions, make sure you price it $10 or more unless you really don't care! NOTE: At this point I have plenty of goodies but will still take donations or will look at oddball, unusual or funny items.

Unless noted most of the items will start at a dollar. Several items have higher starting bids, mainly for more collectible or unusual items, as there are a few interesting goodies in here. But in general, a lot of this stuff will be affordable.

The purpose of the midnight auction is fun and games, and mostly for me to hear myself talk and shamelessly promote myself with bad jokes, stupid patter, and ridiculous costumes, but things will move along quickly. Often I'll just shout an amount out that I'll take for an item without worry about taking bids, if you are quick enough you'll get the item (s) for that amount.

Special event: Satanic Panic! In fond remembrance of the 80s, we will have a "Satanic Panic" section of the Midnight Auctions where many "devilish" and "demonic" items will be sold...including a much coveted copy of the classic Tom Hanks movie "Mazes and Monsters" (I may be in the minority, but perhaps Tom's finest cinematic masterpiece?)

Lesser Gnome is releasing a special printing of its first standard length module at the Con in June. It is titled Bird of a Feather and the near finished mock-up of the cover is pictured below.

I have a pre-order page link and way more information than you could ever want in a new thread over in the non-TSR forums.

acaeum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10& ... mp;t=14317

I should also mention that it comes bundled with a custom sculpt of the main adversary and will ship to non-attendees around June 12th. The price is $20 plus shipping.

Looks like Zach beat me to the sneak peak posts! I will be getting my signed copy at NTX.

Here is one of Pacesetter's special NTX releases (there will be several more). Sorry, no ordering it yet. Look for the official release around June 4.

The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking of postponing the Trivia Quiz Hour on Friday until next year....

I had wanted a Jeopardy-like "Contest of Champions" with limited audience participation, but two of my contestants are running games in that time period (bad planning on our parts).  The questions are HARD...so I'm afraid the endeavor might just degenerate into me asking questions to the audience as they stare dumbly at me and I lamely give them the answer after a minute or so.  Instead I might just pass out copies of my Trivia Quiz from last year and use it to look for new contestants for next year since I'd like to have a larger pool to choose from.

If people were really looking forward to the Trivia Quiz (I can state it will be VERY entertaining, if I get it up and running like I want), any suggestions on how to go forward NOT in a game-show format?

Pleased to report that all 4 existing Issues of AFS Magazine will be available this year at NTXRPG CON via the Black Blade Publishing booth.

Also look for AFS 5 to be released this summer hopefully in June 2014. AFS 5 will primarily be a Michael Moorcock tribute issue with cover art (used by permission) from the late Susan Seddon-Boulet.

Thanks!  I wish I could be there.

Would someone be willing to pick up me copies of AFS Magazine and The Bottled City Adventure?  If so, please just drop me a PM.

I'm interested in any other unique/limited books or trinkets that might drop in there as well.  :)   (At least I might snag a few deals on Ebay while everyone is away!   )
