Harley Stroh also signed up today.  Many of you remember Harley at NTRPG con II and III running playtests of the DCC game.  After missing last year we welcome him back, and he's running plenty of DCC games!

And he's bringing Doug Kovacs....Doug is one amazing artist as you can see by the covers of the new DCC adventures, we welcome both representatives of Goodman Games here.

This year, as in year's past, we are selling raffle tickets for some incredible prizes. Tickets are only $5 and can be paid with paypal. You do not have to be an attendee to win...about half our winners last year did not attend the con! (Including Lucyjoyce, who won the free trip this year!) Doug has added more items so check out the raffle page, here is what I have so far (I will update as soon as I confirmed the new items Doug has added to the page, but just assume they will also be included):

http://ntrpgcon.com/index.php?option=co ... &Itemid=66

Items for the Raffle (additional items will be added as they arrive)

You do not have to be an attendee to win

* Dragon Magazine #2

* Dungeon Magazine #1

* Castle Zagyg - Upper Works (signed by Jeff Talanian)

* Strategic Review #1

* A Complete Set of the new 1st Edition AD&D Reprints (Players Handbook, Monster Manual & DMG)

* Swords & Wizardry White Box

* DCC #9 Tomb of the Blind God, Otus Cover w/NTRPGCon Logo (2ea, signed by Erol Otus)

* Jim Holloway special Limited Edition art set from Cairn of the Skeleton King, 13 prints per set (2ea)

* Limited Edition Centerstage Miniature for NTRPG con 2011 - Lord of the Great Plains - Longhorn Minotaur

* Digest size copy of Misty Isles (Wee Warriors adventure reprinted by 2012 NTRPG con)

* Three different sets (bags) of Dungeonmorph Dice, Five D6 dice to a bag

* Rulebook for the DCC RPG (Collector's Edition)

* Free Trip to NTRPGCon 2014 (within 48 contiguous states); includes airfare/gas (if you drive) & hotel room. If winner is not in the USA, we will award cash value reimbursement if you attend in 2014, non-transferable (basically this is up to a $700.00 credit toward your travel/stay to the Con in 2014 only)

Mike B.

PS It is worth saying that the raffle along with the auction is one of the few revenue streams for the con. Yes, we lose money every year, but it would be nice to at least break even.  If you appreciate the fact there is an old school con in the US and even if you cannot attend, maybe someday you might make it out to Texas, please think about buying a couple of tickets. Doug and I figured last year that if everyone who attended or read this just bought two tickets we would break even.  What other chance do you have of getting a Castle Zagyg box or $700 towards a free trip for just ten bucks?

Also, if you wish to donate to the con, we accept anything gaming oriented that we can place in the silent auction, raffle, or give away as prizes.  It doesn't just have to be gaming, though...last year an Acaeum member donated a box of brand new dvds that we used for prizes, giveaways and silent auction items. If you are not sure if it is something we can use, check with Doug or I and we'll let you know. We have had tons of donations in the past from Acaeum members and they are all appreciated. Thanks!

Our latest sponsor is The RPG Society! Follow the link to read about this organized RPG network that will be the subject of a kickstarter after NTRPG con this year. The founder Stan Shinn is a long-time con attendee and he'll be there this year to talk about his brainchild. I'm actually pretty excited about this myself and I'm hoping that I'll be able to run RPG Society games at some point in the future. Check it out!!!

Wow tough lineup  :D

I played Cavemaster at last years NTRPGcon and it was a blast.  Totally original, fun to play and easy to learn.   :)

Yeah, that is a tough line up with great companies and well-known designers.  My submission never had a chance against these heavyweights.   :)

Doug and I are working on something that may be a blockbuster reprint, something along the lines of the Peter Kerestan/Wee Warriors reprints (not quite that pedigree, but you get the idea).

Just in the exploratory stages, but so far sounds good. It would be something any Acaeum collector would be extremely interested in...

I'm so excited I'm jumping up and down around the house! (not something a 280 lb man should be doing, btw).  Hope it works out.  More later, hopefully. If not, eh, you'll never find out what it was.... :twisted:

Edit:  Wheels are turning.  We will have to wait awhile to see what happens....

Well I registered finally, looking forward to many sleepless nights and RPG fun old school.

I got some really cheap flights from a new local airline that is just starting to go direct from Calgary to Dallas  :) ,  I was the first one to book that flight and got a smokin' deal (sorry American Airlines and your piss-ant service).

Getting hyped for the upcoming con.  8)
