Why confused?  You dont like any of those choices?  Or did you submit something and it didnt make the final cut?  

Both the Game Grid and the Game Registration list have been updated with all the information I have at this time.

You can only view the Game Grid if you login to the site (well, the tab won't show unless you are logged in, the page itself is open if you know the url)

In any case, if you are running games, be sure to check the list and be sure yours' is on there. And if it is and it's missing details, then get them to me.... or bug those that don't have details.

Depending on what time you get in, I'm sure one of us DFW Acaeum members can manage to pick you up.  Love Field isnt THAT far away from the hotel....its about a 20 minute drive if the traffic is cooperating.

Another possibility is Super Shuttle.  Its a shuttle service you book in advance and is usually a bit cheaper than a taxi service.  Just a quick check on their websites shows Yellow Cab service from Love Field to the Bedford area to be around $40 (plus tip).  Super Shuttle is close to $36 (And I am pretty sure its cheaper if you schedule a round trip).  But you may have additional passengers along for the ride and additional stops, but you should be used to that flying Southwest.

Let my duties slip a bit, I'm supposed to be putting together a few seminars or sessions for the con. Doug and I thought a session with Sandy Peterson and Steve Marsh about the development of the Call of Cthulhu game would be interesting (when if ever have the both of them been in the same room talking about this game?).   Perhaps they might also cover horror games in general for rpgs, American Gothic (a proposed horror RPG that turned into CoC), and their work at Chaosium.

Here are my notecards about possible sessions this year.  Chime on on any you would like or not like, interested in any advice:

Future of the OSR:  With the release of the reprinted 1st edition AD&D books, where does that leave the surging OSR (Old School Revival) games like Swords & Wizardry, Labyrinth Lord, and others?  What if WOTC reprints more rulebooks, modules, etc, how does that impact the industry?

2nd Edition AD&D:  With both Cook and Winters at the con this year, I'd hate to pass this up, both were instrumental (along with Jon Pickens) in the development and publishing of 2nd Edition AD&D.  Lots of questions to be asked here, lots of historical context about the development of the game, Gary's influence (if any), decisions on rules changes, etc. I'm pretty sure I'm going with this one but I'd like some opinions.

Self-Publishing Seminar:  We had one of these at the 2nd Annual con and it went really well.  Bill Barsh, Jon Hershberger and Matt Finch did a good job explaining the pitfalls and process of publishing RPGs for fun and profit.  I know Prufrock (Martin) was there taking notes and did publish his own D&D adventure (Kingslayer).  

Good Old Days:  Who would like to see Frank, Tim and Jim sitting behind a table shooting the bull and answering questions about the old days at TSR, or their new publishing company Eldritch Ent?  Slam dunk fun time. No need for me to moderate beyond introducing the guests.  Nice.

I will help in any way I can. I think it would be a good idea to tailor the seminar on a couple major points. How to get started, technology, dealing with printers, web sites, etc. There is so much go cover it could go on for hours.

Doug and I discussed this last night and decided on the following:

Origins of Call of Cthulhu w/ Sandy Petersen & Steve Marsh;

Origins of 2E AD&D with Zeb Cook & Steve Winter;

Get Together with Tim Kask, Frank Mentzer & Jim Ward

Art Seminar with Erol Otus, Dave LaForce, Jeff Dee, Jennell Jaquays & Jason Braun

We decided to use our special guests to the best advantage.   I'd still love to have more sessions/seminars including self-publishing, even if the audience is limited, because the topic itself is interesting. Ditto other less expansive topics, but we'll see.  We love putting these on but for the most part people love gaming more than sitting in a room asking some dude questions, even if it's a famous or semi-famous gaming icon.
