Hey everyone,

Of course there's this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0301088508

TSR D&D B3 Palace of the Silver Princess 1st Orange!

US$1,338.99...

Really? That price is off the charts...

This one was a steal in my opinion:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

TSR AD&D Deities & Demigods 2nd Print 1980

Only US$70.00 for it.

I wouldn't mind bidding on one in a future auction.

This one probably belongs in the Non-TSR section but since it's part of the auction:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Judges Guild D&D City State Invincible Overlord Rev ‘78

I was the highest bidder until the last second and got sniped out.

Congrats if it's someone on the board here.

Best regards,

Ronald

I was surprised to win the EX2 with EGG's annotations/corrections on the maps: I expected them to break $100 at least:
** expired/removed eBay auction **

Hey grodog,

Nice win on that item.

Maybe not everyone realized what it actually contained.

As you had to read the full item description to know.

The title of the auction didn't mention that the item had his annotations in it.

I was looking at that one too. :)

Best regards,

Ronald

Hi,

I thought prices were pretty low on a lot of items this time - particularly the run of the mill ones. Some didnt even get the minimum bid.

Looking at that lot I would say a small number of collectors went after the more interesting/rare items but the ordinary ones were pretty much ignored.

I am surprised some stuff didnt go for more tho, like the cigar box.

Does anyone have any idea if more items from this collection will be sold at Gencon this year again?

Cheers,
Malc

I picked up three items and lost out on plenty more:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Not a big deal, but I collect SPI game so it is a bonus.

I am pretty happy with this one because it holds great memories for me. I was lucky enough to play the actual tournament back in the day!

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

I picked up the chainmail although I never imagined I would get it for that price seeing that my bid on the classic warfare was out the window immediately. I bid like 3 or 4 hours before the end of the auction so it was a nice surprise this morning when I checked.

Also got some $3 marvel modules just for the heck of it and the Fading Suns preview which was the only item I really wanted.

And apparently I received some second chance offers in the mail as well. Have to check on those later.

Yeah, that seems like something meaningful to me.  An item owned by someone, but still sealed and unused?  Meh, that's a marginal connection, in my opinion.

Aha, so you beat me out on that, Ralph :D  I didn't push hard on it, since my FS stuff is packed atm, and I'm not sure if I already have that preview   (but I probably won't haven't gone much higher than I did anyway, and I wasn't the 2nd bidder IIRC).

I feel like I got some good deals too gents!!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWAX:IT

Gary's DMG and PHB? Yes, please.

As corny as it may seem, I2 is probably my favorite module. It's the first adventure I ever ran as a DM, and now I can run Gary's copy. Honestly, I feel like I underpaid for all three items. I'm seriously considering getting some sort of display case for the books, hang it on the wall in my game room. :) Whatdya think?

Yep agree... that final price was definately "OFF THE CHARTS"

Off the charts CHEAP that is!!!

The winning bidder got that at a steal IMO.

I agree with bombadil; and furthermore, if I'd had enough funds to spend, that would not have been even close to enough to buy that Orange B3.

I was shocked at some of the prices...shocked at how cheaply they went. Specifically the Castle Zagyg Box and Five Armies box.  Wow.  Either of these should go for $100 more even WITHOUT the EGG cache attached to them.

If you recall, in the previous round of Gygax auctions back in December, there was a shrinked Battle of Five Armies as well.  It sold for only $162.50.  The price this time around was definitely more what I thought it should be.  The Castle Zagyg selling for $150 less than last time around was a bit odd though.

This just blew me away:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

As did these:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Not even in shrinkwrap!!!  :?

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Went cheaper than I expected:

Yeah Fading Suns is probably in my top 3 of RPGs. So I'm pretty stoked about that one. Had never seen it before.

You have any idea if Hollistic ever released a ltd edition for FS ?

Boo!  I ended up getting sniped on the items I wanted.  I thought a couple of the things I wanted would be a bit obscure and wouldn't be wanted, but I guess I was wrong.  lol  :)  Oh well... maybe next auction... if there is one.  It would be kinda cool to have something from Gary's collection.  :)

~Kat  ^_^

P.S.  The World of Greyhawk boxed set final price kinda blew my mind!   8O

This is why I love buying from auctions but will only sell with bins

The only item I was really interested in was the Top Secret boxed set. Believe it or not, Gamma World and Top Secret were the only other RPGs I played besides D&D. But I thought almost $50 was a bit much.

Congrats to all the winners. I agree that having something from EGG's personal collection is pretty cool.

Hector.
