If this dungeon is only a 2 to 4th level dungeon, the Draconus is WAY to powerful for the module. It cast time stop! :) They are playing 1st editon, there is no way a dragon could cast a 9th level spell.

I think it would be like a 8th to 12th level dungeon. If they were playing 2nd edition they could have buffed up Draconus with Councel of Wyrms to beable to cast 9th level spells, I guess.

The sword only hit the amulet. The DM didn't mention any damage to Pierce and the cloak was still on the dead gnome as far as I can tell.

I would rule that the sword is just on the floor near the dragon. I'm sure fat  neal would have collected it.
