Now you all understand the pain that I went through attempting to codify the database when I was working on The Collector's Database. It was a NIGHTMARE to try to figure out how to put item codes together.

Newly-discovered info shows the flow for S4's module codes to have changed several times:

1. The Lost Caverns of Tsojconth (original MDG tourney 1976) -->
2. WG II The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth (1979 letter from EGG to RJK) -->
3. S5 Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth (from Polyhedron #2, Autumn 1981) -->
4. WG3 The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth (1983 Greyhawk Boxed set) -->
5. S4 The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth (final)

I saw this in the TSR's U.S. 1983 Product Information Catalogue mentioning S4's code supposedly changing to WG3. I'm assuming this was printed in late 1982 (Nov?) for pre-selling the 1983 products.

From Ryan Morgan, on FB:

Q for the learned scholars of TSR history:

In my current fanzine video series, I'm looking at the "New Beholder" put out in 1981.  In Issue #27, they mention upcoming adventures expected to be released soon (see below photo).  One item that was never published was T2 (Gary's Temple of Elemental Evil) and the other is "L1 - The Rastenford Murders."

Based on the fact that The Secret of Bone Hill is set in Rastenford, I am guessing this was a discarded name for the same module.   Thought the detail might be interesting -- I didn't recall from L1 that any mysterious string of murders came into play, but it's been a few years since I read through that one.  Anyone have any other details?  As always, insights are appreciated.
