In the interest of promised transparency, the ACAEUM Limited Edition Art Committee (ALEAC) would now like to disclose important details about this project which were privy only to the committee.  It has been an honor serving with these gentlemen, and they all contributed significantly to its success. I apologize for the lateness of this accounting, but the last print was not delivered until this spring (long story).

The committee negotiated with the artist to pay him $5000.00. He agreed to sign and number the prints, and sign the Certificates of Authenticity. He donated the original print to the North Texas RPG Con! Larry Elmore was a great partner in this endeavor. The printing company we chose was Urban Digital Printers in San Francisco, the same as with the last two projects.  The art negatives have now been destroyed.

Urban Digital does not do their own shipping, and they highly recommended Norton Shipping who shipped the prints from California to Texas.  Badmike then shipped all the prints which were not picked up at NTX.  I processed most payments and handled most communication.

Income minus expenses were $794.10.  The leftover funds were sent to Foulfoot in appreciation to the Acaeum and its support of this project.

The shipping total, not including tubes, was $1208.00.  Most of our income was by Paypal to me, but three prints sold at the con (to Stratochamp, Bob Bledsaw, and Andrew Hart) totaling $531.00, Badmike's "payment" of $177.00 went to shipping, and I gave him $500.00 from monies I received to pay for shipping.  Thus, $500.00 + $177.00 + $531.00 = $1208.00. Canadian shipments were $35, and other international shipments were $45. It was $50 for two double print international shipments.  Domestic shipments came in at around $14-$16 apiece depending on where they were in the US and double prints were $18.  Badmike did a great job shipping everything.

This summary purposely does not include all information regarding this print and the hundreds of decisions or e-mails involved in coordinating this project in the interest of time and space.  We welcome any questions, concerns or opinions.  We may or may not agree with you. Finally, let me say thanks to the Acaeum community for your trust and participation in this project.    WE did it, AGAIN!

1. Looking at financials i am impressed by the fact that the main cost is not the fee to the artist...  Wow i wouldn t have bet a cent that the printing was more expensive than Elmore's fee...

2. Now it is possible to launch the ALEAC number four with Tony Diterlizzi!!!

As Yoda says, "Always in motion is the future."  I can say we are working on it, and it may be a year or so before we have an announcement to make.  I apologize for being so cryptic, but we really don't know anything for sure.

I can report one interesting and welcome development.  Foulfoot is now on the committee!

These projects are difficult enough to coordinate as they are.  We're just a bunch of volunteers trying to herd cats.  I appreciate your enthusiasm, but we can't take pre-orders.

Sorry to be so non-committal, but my guess is that it'll be a year from now before we start, if at all.  We have some ideas, but due to circumstances beyond our control, the committee is on hold right now.  

And, for what it's worth, the committee has achieved most of what it set out to do, that is, to put in collector's hands large, quality, fantasy art from legends of the D&D past at a significantly lower price than they could acquire through traditional commissions.  It's entirely possible that this committee will decide we're done, but we may have one more project in us.
