Good news!  The printing company has scanned the art, shipped proofs to Jeff Easley, he has received them, and approved them.   Now the printing company has indicated they'll begin printing some time next week.  This is all good news because we must have the prints in hand for NTRPGCON where Jeff will sign and number each print.   :)

No second prints for anyone at this point.

benjoshua wrote in Acaeum Limited Edition Art Committee (ALEAC) - Part Deux:ScketreWhisp has already stated that he'll buy extra prints, and his intention is to use them for NTRPGCON, so that is the committee's plan at this point.  If anything changes, we'll announce it on this thread.

There is no one on the waiting list, so we're open to anyone who expresses interest and pays by the middle of NTRPGCON as welcome to own a print.

benjoshua wrote in Acaeum Limited Edition Art Committee (ALEAC) - Part Deux:* if no one else states their interest on this thread and pays by NTRPGCON and before the available slots are gone.

What I anticipate happening between now and NTRPGCON is that one or two more people will hop on board, and we'll also have one or two people at NTRPGCON who are not on the list decide to buy a print.  Seeing is believing.  However, even if no one else buys a print, NTRPGCON will be able to sell these at a profit to buyers who appreciate old-school role-playing. Those are the kind of buyers who we want as owners, and NTRPGCON is the kind of convention we want to support.  The auction process is as good a way as any for determining second print buyers.  Even if a member can't attend NTRPGCON, proxy buyers could be arranged.  Is it a perfect system?  No.  Does it make work easier for the committee?  Yes!   8)

Yes indeed, but expressing interest here doesn't hold your place.  You'd be number 68 if you pay before anyone else hops on board and pays.  Refer to information earlier in the thread for payment information.  Make sure your Paypal payment includes your Acaeum name and address where you'd like the print to be sent, unless you'll pick it up at NTRPGCON.  Congratulations!  :)

Not a problem.  Taken care of, I just didn't want to pay then find out that you would need to refund.

Chris said it better than I could.  It's kind of a guessing game, we want everyone who wants one to have a print and not leave anyone off...but have as few (ideally, none) left over.   With the EO print we had the number at 65 and had a lot of people complaing about not getting on the list.  In that case, a lot of people dropped off because of aesthetic reasons (just didn't like the print) and we only had one extra.  By raising it 10 copies this time we figured we'd hit a sweet spot.  Unfortunately, from what I've deduced we have more financial reasons to blame (just don't have a spare $100+) this time and had more drop out than planned.  I'm thinking for the next print (should there be one) we should split the difference with 70 (or go back to 65 and risk a few being left out).

I have figured if we got the word out to other forums and such we could easily sell the last few prints, but my issues are the same as Chris, it is an ACAEUM project and I want the owners of the print to buy it with the purest of old school motives.   The NTRPG con is an ACAEUM convention, however we bill it...the founders are Acaeum members, the core group of attendees are Acaeum members, and the con exists to promote old school roleplaying.  Copies sold at NTRPG con at least go to those who support an old school convention, and hopefully raise the awareness of artists like Otus and Easley (primarily that they are still HERE and creating quality artwork).  Our profit from auctioning the first EO print was negligible, actually, but it did end up in the hands of an old school gamer.

I am shocked (shocked I say) to be at #30 for this print, but I don't think there is much room for movement downward if and when another print is done. Most of the people who seem to have dropped out have names and alias's I barely recognize with a few acaeum stalwarts thrown in. I suspect that anyone picking a copy up at north texas will end up a member of the acaeum anyway, in the long run.

Curious...have these shipped yet?  Maybe this has already been discussed and I apologize if that is the case.
