Alternate print possibly?!

If you zoom in on the photos from the auction (for instance, by the quality on the pages), doesn't it look more like someone paid to have it printed from the pdf versions of the modules and then had it bound together? The margins seem to be haphazardly done and you can also see the barcode from the back cover of one of the modules.

Outside of the genuine muppet who buys it thinking it's a rare anthology, the mythical 'fool' being seperated from his money (which is an educational experience for him), I'd imagine buyers are those just gathering play materials. These are all available for minimal cost digitally from legitimately outlets (and free from various legitimate hosts). So in digital form the cost is anywhere between $0 and maybe $50. Feasible, not wanting to download for free, one could see the cost of buying digital, printing yourself and then binding, costing you $100. Even reformatting the PDFs, uploading and printing throught printer like Lulu is gonna cost you $100 if you value your own time more than McDs do.

So not outragious in price, and the odds are high that any potential buyer is only buying reading materials.
I don't really get the offence taken by reprints. They don't impact the value of the collectables market, nor do they dilute the quantities of the products available to collectors to buy. I don't see that they lower demand for collectables in any real way either. So, outside of the afront to ones sensibilities, and greater access to forbidden knowledge that previously would have cost $$$ to acquire, both of which are subjective and don't really affect our collections, I can only think there is something I'm not seeing.

That said, I'm also not inclined to buy reprints either. I'm more collector than player and I don't need 'play' materials.

Looks like the seller relisted it as an auction? Plus, "The seller has not specified a postage method to United States."  In any event, I've heard that mail has been delayed recently between the UK & US. Security concerns or something.

This is worth for the pics of the auction... they're really well done and attract a potential buyer... the lot is interesting (a B12 in it), however i rank it in the "good from far but far from good" stuff

If anyone wants to actually win such an auction the best way is to wait until the last minute and bid the highest that they are comfortable with. Bidding now just drives up the price they would have to pay.
