I get that it's one of a kind. But those bidders with zero or one feedback only bidding on that item is a little fishy to me. But that's just my opinion.

Well it's not one of a kind. I own the Monster Manual that was formerly Tim Kask's that was dedicated to him and signed by Gary as well as Dave Trampier, Dave Sutherland and Tom Wham. I wonder if the zero feedback bidder was someone responding to Luke Gygax's Facebook entreaties that the bidding was not high enough yet. Ultimately there were two bidders with hundreds of feedback that both felt that the book was worth over $25,000.

Well sure it was a big auction, I think I won seven lots, but it was nothing like the old days where I would win 20 or 30. I'm not going to bid on things I already have just because they were owned by Gary. So I already have an R6, both belt buckles, the MM signed by EGG & the 3 artists etc. for example. But thank you for asking Mike :-)

Every once in a while, Auction Hunter finds a real zinger:
** expired/removed eBay auction **
It was listed in "Books & Magazines" with a further subcategory of "Antequarian".  Congrats to whomever scooped it, and some advice for sellers everywhere... do a little research on what you're selling before popping it up in the wrong category with a $50 Buy-It-Now.  :/

They cancelled the sale and are relisting it.

What a pity! I feel that these events are a kind of 'fuel' for collectors... everytime you find a gem like this one for 50 bucks is like you got to the top of the Everest!
I personally enjoy finding these auctions, even if someone else already snagged the item before me...
Btw, we could make a thread with these 'top findings'... just to have a kind of hall of fame for the best bargains done in our lives: i would have a couple of them only to add...

What reason did the seller give for cancelling the sale?
