Not a new job really, same job based in Canada just drilling in India!!

Will travel there but not live there.

The only one on the list that I haven't read is Snow Crash, but do like other Stephenson books (Cryptonomicon is brilliant!). The Tufte book is also excellent, even if you're not interested in data/information presentation---his books are marvels of physical production quality (and are what I'm aiming to emulate whenever I get around to publishing my big book of dungeon design essays by industry geniuses

And I've read 5-1/2 of 9. Never did finish Godel, Escher, Bach. I've also started Quicksilver (the first book of Stephenson's Baroque Cycle), but haven't managed to finish it either. I seem to have a short attention span.

I think Cryptonomicon is far better than Snow Crash.

The only thing Stephenson lacks in his writing is plot.
Everything else is exceptional.
I love how his characters have a detached view of the world.
It's like they're watching themselves through a window.
His latest, Reamde, is a garden-variety thriller, but Stephenson's humor alone is makes worth the read.

FWIW, I've read 8 of the 9 books.
