Additionally

Shipping via UPS makes the price near-retail.

The PHB cover shown in the photo is rubbed. Some of his other auctions have the same problem. A new, unused PHB is as shiny as a high-gloss-coat on a miniature.

Hmmm . . .will Future floor wax on the 3.5 books make them minty looking?

Usually when I see UPS or Fedex shipping for a private account for items like books, it immediately raises a red flag. Especially if the shipping quoted is UPS or Fedex's retail amount. Many times I've seen the shipping being sent through the seller's place of work, which means they're either incurring a very discounted rate or they're shipping it for free and pocketing the quoted shipping rate. I mean, who ships books via UPS unless you're a business? Makes absolutely no sense unless it's a very valuable/collectible item and especially when other shipping choices aren't even provided in the auction.

It is the first printing, and it has been on ebay for a long time. The price is pretty high - I got one a little nicer for less than half not too long ago.

Areas of interest/knowledge: Harn, WFRP, Ars Magica, anything BRP based such as CoC, Runequest, Pendragon and all their related games

Sold a copy of that to an Acaeum member last year.

It was nicer and I asked for less than half that amount.

Still the seller did include a Make an Offer Button in the listing... so there ya go guys.

Third Print CHEAP even in this condition at just over $2.00 (USD).

Less than 2 days left.

A different seller has a 6th print of the first Edition Monster Manual and also has MMII, both starting at only $1.99 with $5 shipping (In USA)

Both books look to be in very fine or better condition on cover, though there is a store sticker on the yellow bannered MM.

Seller does state he colored some monster sketches inside them though.

Even so, at those prices well worth it for playing copies or even low end collectors copies for starters.

Ok, that qualifies as gross. Getting cozy in someone's stained (who knows how?) chair, let alone handling it, is beyond rationalization.
