Yeah, like buying an A1 for $51, but letting a D3 mono go for $26... <bangs head against desk repeatedly>

And I looked at the rest of Donnabrasil's items, and they're all high-priced like that. She sold shoes before getting into the D&D market...

I know the 1E hard covers are doing well lately, but this is just plain stupid. And when you consider the seller...

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

I can't exactly point a finger the seller on this one. The starting bid was $2.50, far below the kind of thing I've seen from them.

Somebody hold me back, maybe I don't need three sets of these anyway...

If you have three sets of the F-1009 you would probably get close to that for one with cover.

I do, but two are missing at least half the sheets and the other is missing a couple. But they have their covers. The two missing the most I bought back when I first got my Holmes set. The other was an ebay purchase - came in a lot - about seven years ago.

I have thought about selling them, but too much sentimentality.

I am starting to rethink my stance that prices are dropping...

I doubt this is a factor, but I can't help but wonder; the Yugioh game took a kick in the gut as the two major companies involved have stopped working together.  EBay prices have plummeted over 50% in two weeks.

This means the FLGS's around the country suddenly have thousands of gamers without a game. At the main store I frequent, Magic is suddenly THE game.  At another store, D&D's popularity has risen, but I don't know why.

Also that the D&D miniatures game took a disruptive hit, that's another group of gamers that may have abandoned their loyalty.  Since I don't collect the plastic minis, I have no experience to easily determine those eBay price changes.

When you consider that D&D is considered a more mature game than Yugioh the progression to D&D makes sense.  Gamers like to game, and they'll switch if you give them enough reason.

Personally, I hope D&D does become a popular refuge.  It's a game with one of the longer histories.  Then again, this price is likely a freak exception. 8)

They apparently weren't done yet either.  It's now up to $151.  :?

I'm not sure if this is a fun-find or silliest price... or spot on - this sellers auctions ended up all over the place, imho.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290296649969

Anyone recall what they've been selling for lately?

Thanks,

David

Not really been following the final value on these (though I bid on most as it's one of the FR items I need!). I reckon that's probably not a bad price, and the shrink helps of course. (Worth keeping it on as the product itself is not really worth reading :D )

You can never have too much of something you didn't need in the first place.
