Not a lot of hope, but please add me to the wish list.

That's what I get for only browsing these boards every few months, and never taking the time to register before.  :?

Of all the pieces that I have sold for Jim over the last year, this was the weakest so far. Is it the economy? The artwork? You guys tell me. The market for original art is not very strong right now. So, it may be some time before any more goes up. Jim's stuff is too good to go for peanuts!

I think a lot of the value at the moment rides on the content.  This is a more lively drawing and is doing far better

Quite true. We do have one remaining illustration from the R1 Falx module that would probably do quite well too - the "Wererat Attack" front piece. Just wish we could find the cover art for it!

We should have some solid news after our Friday meeting, John; we haven't met the last two weeks (once due to a time zone snafu, once due to some folks being out of town).

Acaeum member "silver" wants to be a part of the Erol Otus Print user-group.  He has zero posts.  Anyone know anything about this member?  bclarkie? :?:

Sounds a little odd, especially seeing as he won't be in line for a copy before anyone else on the waiting list. It may just be wise to keep the group closed and 'invite' interested parties who have established themselves well on Acaeum. Just my 2c.

The EO Committee has reached an agreement with Erol Otus to produce 50 Limited Edition Prints for the Acaeum Community!  :) The agreement includes the artist keeping the original. We still hope to have finished prints in everyone's hands before Christmas. The art concept has not been finalized. We have also secured permission from Lord Foul to use the Acaeum name within the artwork.

Questions remain about the printing process and which printing company we will use, but all efforts are being made to secure the best paper, printing company and process available within our budget. There is more to this project than we initially imagined, and this is one area where we were least informed. Printing costs may raise the cost per print slightly, but we still hope to keep it close to the $50.00 goal.

Furthermore, the cost for each print will not include shipping, but we are finalizing the shipping method and cost for both domestic and international buyers. International buyers will pay more for shipping. We will probably ship the prints by Priority Mail in tubes with insurance. No handling charges will be included in the price. No members of the committee are profiting or getting free prints from this project. Any remaining funds (not likely) will be donated to the Acaeum. Our budget includes four primary expenses; 1) payment to the artist, 2) payment to the printer, 3) payment to recover Paypal charges and 4) payment to ship the finished prints from the printing company to the shipper (Badmike).

The EO Committee is working amazingly well together. There is excitement in our purpose and no significant conflicts in our decision-making. grodog has served point on communicating with Erol, PaulKM has been conducting massive research in printing methods and of printing companies, Badmike is our shipping and handling guru, and I have been given the unenviable task of collecting and distributing money once that day comes. SEND NO MONEY NOW! I will contact the user-group list once that day comes.

There remain many questions. Questions and opinions are welcome, but it may take a while for the committee to arrive at an answer.  Please ask all questions and state all opinions on this thread.  We want to be as transparent as possible. We appreciate your patience. :)

Sounds awesome Ben.  Really looking forward to the finished product!

On a different note....did anyone else receiving the PM from benjoshua tonight get the same email I did?  The email subject was "New Acaeum Private Message From" but there was no indicator of who it was from....the name was blank.  And Hotmail indicated that it had blocked the message due to dangerous content.  That is the first time I have ever had an Acaeum PM blocked like that.  :?

I received my own PM and it worked fine.  I'll contact Foul, and we'll hopefully get this fixed for when we need it. :?

My e-mail notification looks just like Allan's -- blank.  But the PM itself was fine.
