Wonder where he/she got it from?

He/She is a newbie seller.  Perhaps a little message sent asking them to credit the Acaeum would be enough.

The description says 3.5 but the pic definitely shows 3.0 which makes a big difference.

Wasn't Soulcatcher a member here?

Hey everyone,

First time I've seen one of these:

DUNGEON HOBBY SHOP ENVELOPE VINTAGE D&D GYGAX

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DUNGEON-HOBBY-S ... 0655701277

Thought it might be of interest to someone on the board.

Best regards,

Ronald

If nothing else, that's a pretty cool piece of old school artwork.

The wording of that auction looks familiar - it seems to paraphrase this post I made about one of these envelopes in a TSR advertisements thread:

viewtopic.php?p=96814#96814

More info on these envelopes can be found in these Grognardia posts:

http://grognardia.blogspot.com/2010/08/ ... p-art.html

There's also some up at Tome of Treasures:

http://tomeoftreasures.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4141

As indicated, the artwork on the envelopes is by Laura Roslof, wife of the late Jim Roslof.

Undoubtedly the seller ran a Google search on this item and turned up your comments, Zenopus.

I know everyone was watching this one.

Just hope for the sake of the buyer that all are in original shrink and complete. I'm highly suspicious due to the two Dungeon Geos showing the maps themselves rather than the info sheet on the back.
