It was quite a game!  The US football team is one of the surprise stars of the World Cup thus far.  And even though you were robbed at the end by a poor decision - great and exciting comeback in the second half.

I should add that as an Irishman I will be happy this time just to see France humiliated (a lot), after their cheating antics meant we didn't even got into the World Cup.  But since I have lived in London for the last 17 years, it would churlish to support anyone else at this stage ... although I do have Argentina in the office sweepstake  

I was watching this incredibly bad RPG film Mutant Chronicles which has a surprisingly good cast doing a pretty bad job of acting (Malkovich was in it and I don't remember him giving such a crap performance in any other film). Sean Pertwee had a brief stint at the beging and I think he did about the best he could with a terrible script and flat cliched character as he could.

This made me dig up some of Pertwee's other films and I just finished watching Dog Soldiers, which was excellent. Cannot believe they never brought him in to be Doctor Who, or Doctor Who's son. He is a fine actor but I've never seen him get major roles. He is supposed to be doing a voice part in a Warhammer 40k movie called Ultramarines, which will hopefully not suck, and a nazi zombie flick called 4th Reich, which probably will. I'm just hoping that 4th Reich will be at least amusing, but maybe they can pull off something closer to Dog Soldiers rather than Mutant Chronicles.

Does this happen to anyone else?

I don't know, is there some ebay sellers forum urging everyone to try and make an extra buck or two in shipping by wrapping everything unprotected in brown paper or dumping them in bubble mailers?

I have received more damaged books in the last two months than in the last two years.

I thought I had seen it all, but no.

The packages I got last month from ebay sellers were so poorly packed that I have only made two ebay purchases this month!  And one of them is just a couple of rpg books from Frank.  I didn't realize I had gotten quite that fed up!

I even sent specific packing instructions to two people last month who agreed to follow them and then just threw the items loose in boxes anyway.  

I also just had a seller send me an email complaining that I left a negative.  He didn't ship for two weeks and when I asked he admitted it and apologized and said he would ship right away.  Then a couple of weeks later he didn't answer emails and I left the neg.  A couple of weeks after that... I still haven't gotten the items, he emailed complaining that I left a neg saying he was planning to eventually get around to shipping.  

Some of these new sellers shouldn't have a drivers license or computer, much less be allowed to sell on ebay!  (I think they are high school and college kids who can't find summer jobs are are not very responsible).

It is amazing how the movies have mismanaged so many games. Mutant Chroncles was cool. I got started on the board game, but the miniature battle game was fun. When I saw that the movie had A and B list actors, Perlmann, Malkovich, Pertwee, good BBC stock actors, I was thinking, man this could be a good picture.

I think Ultramarines will be decent, at least Im hoping.

Hmmm... I'm pretty sure I played this at a convention back in the 90's and had a blast, but I generally like most of the GW 40k stuff. The orks are normally fun to play because of the general insanity and lack of subtlety. It has been awhile so I can't remember how the game play differed from regular 40k except that it seemed more fast paced (but it was a convention so we were pressed for time).
