I know you must get sick and tired of readng things like that from potential customers.
But did you really say only and exactly that, or was there more?

A newbie is (by definition) totally uneducated as to the long standing troubles with some sellers on E-Bay.

We have about 7 small magnets on our fiidge holding pictures and other items.
Plus three rather large clip magnets to hold a full size calendar.

I actually explain to them I am not a huge online gaming conglomerate and I personally pack and handle all orders. I also explain the difference between priority/first class and media mail, etc. If someone wants me to match T&T price I usually will, especially if the price difference is minimal. So yeh I didnt' exactly tell him to piss off...but sometimes it just comes down to money with a lot of buyers, who want the best possible deal (and you can't really blame them).  I don't badmouth T&T to customers either, and some people  have good experiences with them. Sometimes I will direct them to this thread though, and that usually works to get them to buy from me...

I recently bought four magazines from T&T two being Troll and The Gamer with the famous Gary Gygax (God bless him   ) articles/interviews. At first shipping charges to Italy were the exact sum of four separate shipping charges   . Then, after complaining, they halved them... I'm waiting to get the magazines and check shipping costs. Being a seller myself, I'm not at all against some rounding up to cover costs, but let's check and then decide...  

I recently had a T&T experience... and I'm not sure what to make of it... except, I don't want to go through it again  

- bin'd an item, figuring I wouldn't mind overpaying on shipping since the price was very good

- rec'd invoice with a shipping cost of one-fourth that stated in the auction... which I paid... so far so good...

- rec'd a refund for the item with a canned no-longer-in-stock message, sent an email to complaints@trollntoad asking, huh? where'd it go?

- received no response so eventually negged them for the transaction

- received a somewhat personal email of apology, not explaining anything, but pointing out correctly that the refund was issued right away

I finally cancelled the transaction... the neg probably wasn't fair... I did find the whole round-about exercise very frustrating.
