It'sa TSR publication from 1980 or so. I've never seen a Dragontales go for very much. I've owned a few in my time, it's a collection of short stories that either appeared in Dragon magazine, or were scheduled to appear and instead packaged in this format (very similar to a Dragon Magazine). IIRC, long time TSR staffer Roger Moore had a story, and then a bunch of people I don't remember.  It may be rare, but they seem to turn up with regularlity here and there.

I'll bet this copy of Dragontales fetches quite a bit:

Buyer beware on this one:

The covers have been cut down to fit the modules. Originally they were large enough to match the hardbacks they came with.

Hrm.  You may be right.  Hard to tell from the angle in the photo.  Anybody asked the seller?

They are definitly cut down. I bought one like this from another seller a long time ago. He tried to tell me they were supposed to be like that   .

Now that you mention it ... they are definitely cut down.  The spine side is white and is big enough to wrap around the hardcover book.  In the picture you don't see the white at all so if it is there it would be tucked under.  But that would make the bottom cover 1cm bigger and it would stick out.

And he's already sold six...must have come upon an unopened case, wish I was that lucky.  He could be getting twice that price easy, it's a damn good deal, wish I could afford to buy them all....
