Damn, I'd love to add another NCAA trophy to my already crowded fantasy shelf.....may have to re-arrange all the first place football finishes the last couple of years to make room for it....

Filled out my bracket.  Am trying to have a little more faith in the Gators this year, but only to a point.  Good luck to all.

Picking the gators to do well was not only being loyal to your local team but smart.  In my opinion, the gators have a better starting five than both Kansas and Georgetown.  I also believe the parity is closer in this bracket than any other, and I really believe that there are about five different teams who have a good shot of emerging from the south region victorious.  This is going to be an interesting and frustrating tourney.  Madness!

It's Saturday morning and I just did a quick look at all of the bracket in the Acaeum pool.  Everyone is still very much alive with Ekim, Lucy, and benjoshua sitting a little better than the rest of us.  Once we get to the Sweet Sixteen we will have a better understanding of who has a legitimate shot at winning this year's pool.  Interesting note:  Shane's final four picks are just different enough (yet realistic) from the rest of the pools participants that he could rocket to the lead if he rolls a "19-20".

New Mexico and Georgetown screwed us all.

yeh, the good thing about the busted brackets is that it was the favorites that everyone had picked. Of course, I had Georgetown in my final four, and that is going to leave a mark.

Well don't rely on dice with weighted rolls when filling out a bracket :)

If anyone is interested, here's a bracket group where you can win $1,000,000.00 and a few bragging rights for a year.

http://msn.foxsports.com/fantasy/colleg ... roup=25313

The name of our group is "ACAEUM COLLECTORS" and the password is "Gygax."

And here's another bracket group where you can win a BILLION dollars and a few more bragging rights for a year.

Click on this link:  College Basketball Tourney Pick'em - Yahoo Sports - Group Invitation

The name of our group is "ACAEUM COLLECTORS" and the password is "Gygax."

In both contests, more points are awarded for correct choices.  The first game of the Round of 64 is 12:15:00 PM ET on Thursday, March 20th. You can adjust your brackets until the start of the first game.   Good luck!   8)

Chris, for the first league, I was required to sign in and give the Fox Sports Network all of my Yahoo information and permission to spam me with email....I declined.

For the second, which is Yahoo based (same as our fantasy football), I was required to give them a mobile phone number and permission to spam my cell phone whenever they wanted....I also declined.

I hope this isn't the norm for their fantasy leagues as a whole, if so I won't be running or playing in any Yahoo leagues from this point forward.......

Yes, these are changes I did not like at all.  I am not offended if no one else wants to participate.   :(

I have an email I don't use much and a cell phone I don't use much (confiscated from my mother-in-law after she repeatedly called the police) so the requirements don't bother me.  Plus I like to fill out my bracket.  Just you and me so far, bj.  Bring it on.

I hoped they would get a lot of negative feedback for this, and sure enough, today (one day before the tourney) Yahoo has changed the rules for signing up...you can now use a landline to sign up for the verification code. Not only that, but the wording has completely changed where they will now "ask" you if you want to opt in for spam and such. Now, I DO have a landline that does nothing but catch calls and my wife and I never answer, so that's perfect.  I like to think people signing up for the tournament this yearwere way, way down due to the idiotic sign-up rules and they got complaints over this.  Any way, I just signed up, I hope we get some others to do so!

The school where I work, Mercer University, just beat Duke!  Go Bears!  :)

Also, my benjoshua's bugbears are not showing up with Mike and Lucy's team for some reason.   :?   Anyway, I can see them.  Unfortunately, my bracket is not going to win me a billion dollars.   :(
