Nope; not at all. What part of copyright law don't you understand? There are no "shades of grey". If the IPR is still WotC's, it's still theirs.

Jim was acting (illegally) with the full blessing and encouragement of Ken St. Andre "for the love of the hobby"; which still isn't a valid "excuse" in the eyes of the law, of course.
Ken simply changed his mind when things got too hot in the community.

They are not forgeries  

They were given away at the con.

All remaining stock has been destroyed.

Money was lost on these printing them up and distributing them.

I find it hard to believe anything worse than what happened to Diecast games and Insidious would occur (BTW, at least two copies of Insidious have sold on ebay since they WOTC cease and desist, without cancellation of the auctions or any incidents).  And, if that happened, Doug would comply (well, already has complied).

"Virtually worthless" is in the eyes of the beholder. Personally, I consider anything 4th edition virtually worthless. I'd add Ironhoof Highlands, Quest for the Fazzlewood and any MassCon module to that pile.

Since they were not commercially available and there are no copies left, the chance anyone hears anything from WOTC would be one tiny notch north of "nil".

*g* Sounds like the same reason why I bought and gave away a chunk of those official PotVQ reprints last year. Saved me some money this time, anyhow.

Well since everybody posted pics of the con I thought I would post some pictures of some of the cool stuff I picked up during the show.  



This is a bunch of stuff a guy named Raggi sent over for the retailer shelves.  "Lamentations of the Flame Princess" It looks pretty cool, has some racey artwork inside.  The little black book is a hardcover and I was told it sold very well.  The box set is full.  



These are the Little Ashcan style digest books that Doug and crew produced for the show, I won a copy of "Onto the Devil's Skillet" in the raffle and purchased the other one with my ticket package.  Only managed to get one "Dwarven Glory" as many of my more astute Acaeum friends managed to scoop a few extra tickets for more copies.



This is some stuff that Mike (Badmike) had for sale as well as a Strategic Review I won in the Raffle and an "official Reprint" of the old Judges Guild Inferno Suppliment offered by a very ambitous group that is going to redo this item into a full fledged Demon RPG.  Also picked up the Cairn of the Skeloton King Print Set from Mike



This is a bunch of stuff I picked up from Martin (Prufrok) Bill Barsh and the Osric boys.  Also got a set of Villians and Vigilantes from Jeff Dee (of course he signed them as well)



Here is a pair of very rare (Only 6 copies) players copies of Modules from Tim Kask's games.  One from Garycon and one from this year's NTRPGcon.  The Boskidell adventure has to be the best pre-pub ever printed.  There is fantasitc artwork on every page, color covers, "very unique" storyline.  It is so sweet  

Anyway so that is most of the stuff I got, probably missed some items tucked away somewhere.  

This was a great con and I can only imagine it getting better every year!!

No worries.
I will even donate to your commissary account so you can buy cigs to trade for other things.
Like less attention in the showers and such....

The print run on any WW reprint will never be more than 100. Last year it took about 6 months to sell the rest after the Con and I didn't want to be sitting on the 6 months this year.

So I printed 50, and sold them all +6 so that's 1st print. The remaining 44 will be listed at RPGMarketplace.com for 30 days. If they all sell, great, if not, the 2nd print run will be smaller than 44.
