Here's a link to that 2nd print Basic Holmes Set that was posted in the classifieds (the item number had one too many 3's in it)

Here's a lot with:

couple early Monster and Treasure Assortments, Sets 2 and 3 (not sure if set 3 is a 1st or 2nd print)

as well as TWO pads of Character Record Sheets.

Maybe someone here can chime in on which versions they might be?

odds of shrink being original? certainly less than his 93.3% feedback.....love the description of 6th prints from the acaeum without any attribution by the way.

Looks OK from here: why do you think it's not?

1) the marks on the right hand side of the box (which appear to be under the shrinkwrap) 2) i don't trust some guy with a 93.3% feedback being on the up and up 3) he had MULTIPLE shrinkwrapped copies? i've been collecting white boxes actively for 28 years and i've seen one shrinkwrapped oce-and it had been rewrapped. So we are to believe that THIS guy with the 93.3% feedback has a cache of original shrinkwrap oce's? I think not. 4) just to be clear this guy might not have been the one to do the rewraps-it could have happened 10 years ago with that knife slash on the left side happening 5 years ago-who knows? the whole reason that original shrink wrap is important is that it guarantees the pristine nature of the interior contents; given the nature of the hobby the winning bidder is unlikely to remove the current shrinkwrap but if they were to all bets are off as to what they would find inside (imho).

I thought I remembered seeing this seller before, then I checked the feedback. Argyrebasin bought a whitebox set from him awhile back that was in shrink. (the seller had many things in shrink). Maybe Argyre can see whether his set in shrink looks right or not?

EDIT:

I found the sale that I saved...

I enlarged the image as big as possible, but it's getting a little pixelated. I can forward the pdf, if anyone wants.

If I recall the remainder of the stack of OCE's that my mother in law bought from a Navy PX years ago, the stack was in s/w.  She gave all the remaining d&d to my brother in law who promptly sold it all on ebay without telling my wife or me. That as probably in 1997 or 1998.  I remember thinking the s/w looked odd, even back then.  I am betting the PX distribution was put in aftermarket s/w to keep stuff from falling out.

I am virtually positive my OCE was in shrink when I bought it. I made the purchase directly from my local hobby shop way back when it came out. So my memory is a little foggy. But I am very sure it was shrinked.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Coverless Jade Hare. Can't see the staples, but perhaps cut off in scanning. Mine does not look the same as this.

I don't see the staples in the one that is on auction. Perhaps my eyes! I will take another look.
