But I wanted to let folks that are planning on attending the North Texas RPG Con (NTRPG Con) know that Goodman Games will have copies of this year's convention module, DCC # C9 Tomb of the Blind God by by Aeryn "Blackdirge" Rudel and featuring a new Erol Otus cover, available at the con. These special release DCC # C9 modules will feature the First Year NTRPG Con logo on the front cover, commemorating the convention's first year.I don't know what the price will be and I don't know how many copies there will be, but Joseph Goodman wanted to throw out some solid support for this gaming convention, especially being the first year and all, and we thought this would be a good way of doing that. As more details become available, I'll pass along the information.Jon "tacojohn" Hershberger

We could ask questions between bites of Bacon/Cheese Hamburger...Besides.... Wont there be a gap of time between lunch and starting the afternoon table top gaming sessions at the hotel?

Ok folks.... I thought Jon wanted to keep this a secret until the Con itself... I guess some things are hard to keep in the bag There are a few "special" things that have been suggested for the Con by various attendees and we don't even know for sure if they'll really happen until the day of the Con since no one wants to commit to them 100% since they are not in control of everything to make sure they can be completed by the Con (our fault for pulling this out of thin air in Feb without much warning) In any case, here were my thoughts, and again, I am sure Mike and I will discuss this. The key is to get people to attend, that's why I wanted to be sure this year was free.... I also wanted to have as many "names" from the hobby here, again to draw attendees.... so far it appears both of these have worked for this year... we are beyond the 10-15 Mike was hoping for That being said, we want the attendees to feel like it is the greatest Con they have every gone too (I know, might be a pipe dream) but really, I want people to talk it up when they go home and just can't wait until next year. So, anything special we have happen will include the attendees first. Not knowing the number of "special" items we are going to end up with, it's hard to say exactly how it will work. You'll notice in the Raffle we are going to raffle off some of the copies of the module Tim Kask will write for the Con. Obviously that's a "limited edition" module, and most copies are being raffled to attendees at the Con, though 1 is being raffled to anyone... I think one is being held for an auction later). If Goodman Games supplies more modules than there are people at the Con, it should be something like this. attendee's can buy 1-2 modules each (depends on number we have) small number 1-5 held for future raffles/auctions remaining modules will be sold to anyone (meaning non-attendees or attendees) again in the same manner 1-2 ea depending on how many we have. We will setup a sign up page just like we will have for game sign ups. We will sell them in order people sign up (so posting here won't help....) When we get the sign up page in place, we will post a message here and will email everyone that the page is online (which means I need anyone's email that wants to be notified... just send me an email at DougRhea@ntrpgcon.com and I'll get you on a notification list - I DON'T need attendees sending me anything since I already have you on a list) So in the end, it's possible the attendees could have the opportunity to own 2 or more copies and non-attendees could own 1-2 copies... then again, more modules means people can own more copies, less means less or none at all... we will have to wait and see.

Zazzle and CafePress both have LOADS of swag you can buy, whether you attend the Convention or not.
