If you want to brag about the money and items you spend on ebay, then by all means go ahead and post your buys in the "Look what kick ass item I found" thread (which, btw, I don't post in precisely because I don't need any backslapping reassurement when I fiind a goodie). But the posting of that info here in this thread by someone else to "teach someone a lesson" is really juvenile, and I know you know it. Christ we are supposedly grown men here, it's the equivalent of "pantsing" someone in front of an audience of Acaeum members for a cheap laugh, something I dont' see the point of.....but oh well. You must have felt it was necessary for research purposes :roll:

In an anonymous system, as a seller you have to open an ebay shop and you cannot afford to run a business based on 99c auctions, because there is no way of ensuring you get a reasonable price unless you have a dedicated following. The only way to cover your outlay is to set the price yourself and pay the higher fees to do so.

The old system was cheaper for the seller, reached higher prices in open auction, was a faster process for selling stock at acceptable prices, and for the buyer, it was fairer, more transparent, more honest, and offered greater certainty of not missing out on bargains or the opportunity to bid on real rarities.

Not to mention the old system didn't encourage shill bidding, which the new system basically gives a standing applause to and encourages. Just one of many stupid ideas Donawhore has continued and promoted during his ill-fated stay at Ebay. Coming soon for this idiot: charging the seller FVF for shipping (aka, soon making it impossible to sell overseas for US buyers unless you want a kick in the sack each sale).

As for Jonb's address, we had several Acaeum members buy items from him when he was selling...his address wasn't uncommon knowledge in that regard (and pretty much where it was predicted; i.e. the same area as his last five fake identities).

FWIW, the seller wants 14 pounds (sorry, don't know how to do the little symbol for it) to ship to the US. Seems excessive to me, though maybe not very considering it's a boxed set plus other stuff.

That's probably too way too /low/ unless they mean via surface mail given that there's a DMG in there.
The Royal Mail calculator states £23.13 for 2kg (link might vanish later or be IP-specific, sorry) and I suspect that should be heavier when boxed unless the DMG is ditched (not a bad idea, IMO). Surface mail would be £14.36 for the same weight.

I was actually wondering if the address Jonb used to receive a purchase (presumably a qualified PayPal address) was the same as the one he stored with eBay which is all a buyer is able to receive. I was wondering if we has a little more info on Mr Callahan than I thought.

I would trust that, in the interest of chasing down this fraudster, whoever sold and mailed goods to this guy would have had the wherewithall to atleast see that Bclarkie got as much detail as possible, even if he were uncomfortable sharing with the forum.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

My mistake. I assumed you were referring to a different auction (a Gamma World boxed set plus extras), and never clicked on your link. Never mind.

It looks like the wrong-sided hole punches are just on the front cover (and maybe another sheet or two). The photo of the reverse looks to have the hole punches in the right place, I think.
