They had scores, probably hundreds, when I was by two hours ago.

Pre-ordering got me a neat miniature as a bonus, but they're tons available at 30, I'm sure they'll be on the website Monday.

I draw the line at collecting... D&D beach towels.

Shoulda been: ".. from Pangreenia to Floratopolis, from mystical Treeonia of spectral Forests to Schruborial dimensions." - The Forests of Leng

What the Hell? When did Dragon Mags suddenly become valuable? Did anyone read the condition on some of these? If everything was in perfect shape I could kind of see it, but 'lightly read to fair'.

You can download the up to date beta rules for free, read all you'd like. The base game seems to be very more of an old school feel, with possible "expansions" to come that add in newer ideas and feels. For instance, there is supposedly a rule book in the works that will add more of a 4E grid combat feel to the game, more miniatures combat. They liken it to a plain pizza (base game) which you can then add whatever toppings (extra rulebooks) you'd like. If implemented properly, it should be a pretty good way to run the system. Time will tell.

So that's what all those boxes of little tokens are for, the ones that say stuff like "Spell Effect +1" or "Wizard Power Tapped." You're supposed to put them on a pizza & eat them.

New High for the Biggest BIN Bastard award (though the guy does offer an auction alternative).

Risky unless you could have them up same day I think, as more and more hit eBay, the price is dropping. Also, heaven help you if they stick em up on their website sometime this week, since they apparently had "hundreds".

I ran through the Candlekeep Next adventure - our DM was light on rules/mechanics and heavy on roleplaying... Normally, this would be awesome, but I was trying to iron out some of the new mechanics!  I learned that Next/5th "hustle" is like the 4th double move... and that's about it.  Well, I got free dice at least.

They should have had an adventure and DMs that could really introduce the mechanics en masse.  Oh well, another WotC trip up.

After running many "official" adventures in WoTC sanctioned events, SO much hinges on the DM. It's FAR more in his hands than any trip up WoTC makes. I mean, they just ask for volunteers to DM, so, you never know what you're going to get hehe. So, easy on WoTC, only spend the hate when they deserve it hehe.
