I think I have two of them...didn't realize they could be worth so much.

They weren't until about two years ago. I just never got around to grabbing one. But I recall seeing them pop up for around $30-40 at best, and sometimes in a lot with other junk - would have been a steal. Sucks to be me on this one...

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

I think both of mine did come with other things, like old AD&D rulebooks, now that you mention it.

I have a 1st print DM screen too and 3 or 4 other prints too.  They have all come with lot purchases.

Its probably similar to Dungeon #70 - worth a bit on its own when you find someone looking for it, but goes cheap in a lot.

I picked up mine at Gencon last year for $75.00. But it was as close to near-mint as you could get (and I got tired of being sniped on Ebay for one...)   :D

And I witnessed the entire event. That is one perfect DM Screen. You will not find one nicer!

Splitting semantic hairs on whether he's meaning another identical copy, perhaps. Anyone else...?

I've seen half a dozen, roughly, on the GenCon auction stage.

So, rare but not unique.

They do ODD prices all the time and I have my suspicions as to why they do it.

It makes the price look like the item is being bid on already.

And that 3rd print is listed at a 1st/2nd print price.

PLUS, that listing clearly illistrates EXACTLY the kind of listing stupidity I was talking about in the recent thread activity (see link below) where a new employee of T&T was posting his/her thoughts about the BIG changes he/she will try to help T&T begin for E-Bay sales.

Look for Crimsonspire...

(7 posts so far... I think all of them are found in that thread)

While I do appluad Crimson's stated goals, I doubt it happens.

A single STOCK Picture of the box (side angle shot) and NO Pictures of the contents.  8O

With a SHORT as hell STOCK Description for a near $2k item is simply STUPID!

That description does not even mention any of the books, or an errata sheet, or reference sheets, and NO clues as to the condition of any of that, other than to say "Interior items look to be unused."

Basically they are saying...  TRUST US with your blind $2k bids....

My granddad always liked to offer up country quips..

One of those was:

I HAVE NEVER BOUGHT A PIG IN A POKE and I aint starting now...!

For our brethren who don't know what that means; it means that grandpa would never buy something he could not see in person and up close.

He would HATE E-Bay (any buying on-line in general really) if he were alive now.

If I had a near mint condition woodie listed for sale on E-Bay there would be about a dozen pictures and scans of every item.

The box and contents ALL OF IT, and Each item would have a detailed description that clearly lets potential bidders know that they MUST bid on that listing if they want to have an awesome and RARE collectable item on the shelf at home (or for some of you, your warehouse).

The management at T&T are clearly Arrogant IDIOTS and what is even worse is that they think we are even bigger idiots than they are.
