Par for the course.  I think I'm up to 5 copies of some things that had cleverly angled pictures and were described as "near mint" that ended up being "just short of beat to ****".

In this case though, $9 for a ToE, and at least the wear was evident from the picture.  I'm sure it will resell for more.

I would probably pay $9 just for the map book; which is sometimes missing from otherwise much nicer copies of that book.
Can you say... Frankenstein?

Still, if all the pages are there along with the map book, then despite the raggedy cover, that was a good price (IMO).
Can you say... playing copy?

Which one is that, John?

The auction in Pip's link is for an OCE with part of its cover torn off by tape, obliterating the starburst, plus it doesn't have a BIN option.

Something I was not aware of. I thought the AD&D PC sheets with Otus covers were all gold colored. Green ones are news to me.

They're photocopies on green paper, I think. Not three-hole punched (check out the photo lower down on the page).

EDIT: Come to think of it, they might be printouts from the "Mad Irishman" .pdf replicas. If they were photocopies I would think the holes from the originals would show in the copies.

White Box OCE with $150 BIN.  Looks decent, but I didn't examine closely.  0 feedback seller.  Probably won't last long regardless.

Silver Anniversary set sealed - doesn't appear to be the lithograph(whatever signed print or what have you) edition.

Not "interesting" as in a good deal, but if anyone has been looking at anything from this seller - btju42gerpol41ger, be advised that staple rust is a given.  I won a couple modules a month or so ago and while perfect, they all had moderate+ rust.  Asked about current listings and also confirmed.  Only reason I bring it up is he had a big run of sealed stuff go up as well.  Something to keep in mind.

Boot Hill 1st Edition, 2nd print. Some pencil marks and there seems to be a stain on the cover (lower left).

Not even a bid at $500?  Well, I suppose they might start rolling in closer to the end of the auction...

Gut feeling says original over-priced auction with this one may have backfired.

According to the listings:

Opened but stored within it's original shrink wrap.

Was going to post something similar to Bracton.
Even without enlarging the pics; you can clearly see the top portion of the SW is totally opened.

To be honest, I would rather they were stored in true collectors bags with backing boards.
Not inside the opened up SW.
