Hey guys;

First, you can still buy raffle tickets until about 4 pm tonight....get those in as we have some great prizes!

I played in Matt Finch's S&W megadungeon last night with Smarmy, Gnat, LucyJoyce, some other fellows, and my own bro.  Had a great time, S&W is an awesome game to just jump into without much prep.   Sitting here and waiting for Saturday's Circus Maximus game with Tim Kask to start, talking to Rob Kuntz and KingofPain about the bad hotel breakfast (in all fairness, the only bad thing about the entire hotel, they are really nice and everything is brand new)  Nothing as cool as this guys!

Right now we have TacoJon's Return to the Lost Temple going on, a sequel to Paul Jaquay's classic adventure, Harley Stroh is running his DCC playtest, another two Swords & Wizardry game, and Krynn Eis is going to finish a World of Urutsk scenario she started last night.  I'm running on fumes but this is great!

Geez... I thought that was audio only: well, that's how Windows Media Player connects for me, anyhow. *tries forcing launch with RealPlayer*

Unfortunately, I cant get the feed--even the audio.  Anyone else running an iMac and having problems?

I received a message that the streaming server couldn't accept any more connections at this time  

However, I usually use Realplayer, or iTunes.

If you're using Firefox right now, click that mms link that Frank posted. it should bring up a "Launch Application" window. If you don't see a choice in there, click the "Choose" button. Navigate down to iTunes, highlight it, then click "open" (which really means save).

On Safari, I couldn't find the choices for changing the program to launch with the mms link. It'll bring up Quicktime, but I'm not sure whether Quicktime supports playback of this type of streaming video or not. I'd try and use Firefox or maybe even Opera (another browser).

(with Firefox) iTunes should launch, and but after a minute (right now) there's a message that the streaming server as I said won't accept any more connections.

Otherwise, you can also go to:

http://www.real.com/realplayer/mac

click that green icon/button and
save the "RealPlayerSP.dmg" to anywhere you like, for instance the desktop.
Once it's done, launch it. It'll create a temporary volume with an open window. Then just click and drag the Real Player icon to the Applications icon and it'll start saving it. Once that's done, you can "eject" or drag to the trash that white temp volume to get rid of it. You'll have to quit Firefox or Safari, and then you can navigate to your applications folder and launch Real Player. Real Player will ask what programs you want to "associate" with it, and you can select or unselect whichever other ones you like. I would probably unselect everything right now, except check the box for the mms file (you can change the associations later) so that you when you click the mms link back in Firefox, it'll launch the Real player.

Thank you so much for the Firefox/iTunes suggestion.  I tried, but received the same message.

As for real player options, when you note that I should unselect everything save the mss file, which of the list, is the media type I should select?

Bill Barsh is to my left setting up the Pacesetter booth, and Tacojohn just took a break from setting up the Black Blade publishing booth to check in.  The room is filled with Acaeum memebers and the random Knights and Knave fellow ( I just got to meet Red Priest awhile back).

Anyway it's a great beginning to the con and I wish more of you guys were here.....

Wow, it was really great.  Best time I've had at a con in a long time.

Was great to see Paul again, he sure looks taller when he is not sitting down.  Got to meet Tim Kask for the first time.

Had a great discussion about Paul Stormberg, everyone really respects and likes Paul, was kind of fun to have just a generally positive solid discussion about someone.

Next year:

1.  I think I may bring swords and such for a demo.  That could be fun.  Cutting 2 liter pop bottles, not doing the hang a hog version.

2.  If I'm getting free admission again, then next year I'm bringing more food.  Probably cheesecake, I'll get it decided on for certain later.

3.  Rachel will return.  She insists.  She actually wanted them to hold it again next week

But I'm really glad I made it.  I'll have to see who else I can get to come out next time.
