I don't have a white horse (ala mel brooks) but I do have a white truck. If I can go, I will swing through hoosier land ...

Mike wasn't sure he's gonna be able to do a Q&A sessions since every thing is in a single room...

But I think we can do Q&A's sitting in the lobby/breakfast area... since the hotel does the continental breakfast, they have tables and chairs out in that area, so I think at least for Friday night, we can have a Q&A with Paul out there....

Then if others want to do one, we can setup something in the same area for them.

I think as long as gaming is going on in the main room, it'll be hard to have any type of Q&A.. heck the pause for the raffles here and there will be an interruption I am sure

So any down time for the Special Guests they can use how they like and the lobby/breakfast area will probably be the best area...

I promise, next year we will have some better room areas and the like since we will plan for 70-100 ....

Remember, Mike was only looking to see 10-15 people, I was figuring about 30-40 ... so we are outside the planned box at the moment and pressing the limits...

at least we know we should be able to do this for many years to come seeing this type of sign up (of course if only 20 show up, then we'll know better) ...

Everything Doug said...spot on. We had already discussed this, and believe me, next year will have spots in the lineup for Q&As.

With everything happening in one room, and from 3+ games going on at all times, the logistics won't work for having any sort of Q&A in the main room. However, #1, Paul will be very accessbile. He will be there Friday through Sunday and I'm sure he will be able and willing to talk on any subject you wish.  #2, there is a large breakfast/lobby area right next to the main room which I am sure will be more than big enough to accomodate this sort of session.  Paul has already mentioned he doesn't want to run nor play in any games, so I'm sure with the majority of the attendees occupied with whatever game is on tap that it will be easy enough to corral Paul in the breakfast room and have some good one on one time with him.

Remember also we are alloting 4 hours for the lunch/BBQ, not to mention the ride there and back. There should be plenty of time to talk to Paul and pick his brain about anything you wish.

As I said....next year, planned Q&A sessions..with moderators and everything (even if I have to do it myself).

i sure would like to be there this year, but other earlier commitments oblige. i'm sure this will be a big hit, and therefore i look forward to attending next year.

I know this announcement isn't going to be of much interest to very many of the regulars here at the Acaeum.  

But I wanted to let folks that are planning on attending the North Texas RPG Con (NTRPG Con) know that Goodman Games will have copies of this year's convention module, DCC # C9 Tomb of the Blind God by by Aeryn "Blackdirge" Rudel and featuring a new Erol Otus cover, available at the con.  

These special release DCC # C9 modules will feature the First Year NTRPG Con logo on the front cover, commemorating the convention's first year.

I don't know what the price will be and I don't know how many copies there will be, but Joseph Goodman wanted to throw out some solid support for this gaming convention, especially being the first year and all, and we thought this would be a good way of doing that.  

As more details become available, I'll pass along the information.
