I have a few rare AH items on my want list and I scanned for them last night and the only Seller that has them (all three) is Troll and Toad. Dang.

I have examined that particular copy personally, in great detail. It originally included hand-written notes by Charles Roberts. If it still does, that's a fair price and maybe a touch low; I'd appraise it at $12k. If stripped down to the bare game, prolly worth $8500-9500 ish, so that's not too bad a markup.

Tho this is the parallel to a 1st woodie OD&D, it's much rarer.

Can't say for sure, but most of the time when I do it, I'll bid up to what I feel is an OK price on it. I do know some people will see something like that and put a bid up to 23.95 to save a buck or it will go above what the BIN was.

(I think) That is the reason for the question about someone bidding on the listing rather than using the BIN.
Nothing wrong with doing so IMO.

However, I figure it will now sell for much higher than what that BIN was, likely more than twice as much.
I would guess it will surpass $55.......

or it might end at 9.99 (lol).............Right............

Nothing wrong with it at all, it gives you time to think.

If you leave the BIN, somebody else can come along and remove the item from auction before you've decided if you really want it or not.

Personally, I don't think low bids should kill a BIN...silly eBay. But then, it's pretty silly to have both a reasonable BIN and an auction. The seller should really pick one or the other, or use the BIN as a "must-have-it-at-all-costs-ridiculously-high-price".

Considering the price, it is the single best piece of shareware I've ever used.

I've been using it for quite a while now (I didn't even realize at first that an Acaeum member made it) and have never been disappointed. Once you learn to tweak AuctionSieve's search results to show you exactly what you're looking for, you'll never again be satisfied with eBay's skewed results.
