It's almost 11 pm Saturday night...it was a blast!  Really tired and drinking some whiskey with Jason Braun watching a game of Arkham horror with Doug, Zeb Cook, Ben Burns, Father Brian, and Smarmy.  Sandy Petersen's Call of Cthulhu game just ended, and I just walked around to some other games to see what was going on....games with Frank Mentzer, Erol Otus, Steve Winter, Bill Webb, Michael Curtis, Tim Kask and Bill Barsh.  I spent a lot of time in the Swords & Wizardry room watching Bill Webb's roper take apart a party with Gnat, my brother, and several others.

The auction was awesome!  Some great battles between Stratochamp, Nogrod, Blackmoor, Mike Cary, and a few others.  Some great prices and winners, Stratochamp paid $1300 for a stupidly rare set of set of Greyhawk reference sheets, and there were some other amazing items sold and I'm sure Doug will have the prices up soon. On the raffle front, the Acaeum was well represented as several familiar figures won multiple times, including John Gaunt and Jo (who won the free trip to next year's NTRPG Con!!!).

Tired.  So tired.  Will post photos later.  Had loads of fun though.  Easily the best NTRPG Con yet, and that is saying a lot considering how they have just kept getting better every year.  Quick run down of the games I played in this year:

Thurs. night - Paranoia.  This game was as much a laugh riot as last year.  I am really glad I got smarmy1 to play this year.  I dont think he will soon forget it.     Malc and his wife also played and seemed to really enjoy it.  Malc played his part great.  Finally someone crazier than me.  
Fri. morning - Gamma World.  Steve Winter....excellent as usual.
Fri. night - OD&D with Tim Kask.  Snakeriders of the Aradondo was a blast.  A few deaths (myself included) but we managed to do pretty well.  Helpful tip:  If you decide to climb a tree on sentry duty....make sure you dont fall asleep.
Sat. morning - Round robin gaming.  We spent approximately 6 hours playing 4 different games, switching after an hour and 15 minutes or so and ending up back where we started.  Began by playing Star Frontiers with Steve Winter, then switching to Cavemaster by Jeff Dee, then on to Metamorphosis Alpha with Jim Ward, then to Boot Hill with Frank Mentzer and finally back to Star Frontiers.  It was a bit strange to do it that way but most people enjoyed it and got a taste of some games they may have never played before.  I've been begging Frank and Doug to schedule a full session of Boot Hill for next year all day today.  And Cavemaster, while not sounding very exciting, is a really cool and unique way to role-play.  I think everyone that played it really got a kick out of it.
Sat. night - more OD&D with Frank.  Played through a smidgen of Lich Dungeon Level One.  Frank loves his zany puzzles....the magical tree with the taste for wine was definitely different.  Our party had a couple of paranoid players so I took it upon myself to loosen things up.  Knocked on a few doors (talked with a rather nice one as well) pretending to be the Avon lady, almost had a party mutiny, went all berzerker rage monster on a group of kobolds....lots of craziness.
Sunday - Aliens with Grodog.  This game looks so simple and easy.  Stupid aliens against a bunch of colonial marines with badass guns.  No problem.  We found Newt, we found the queen, we died.

Game over.  

Best Con ever (as usual). Had a blast running MT (really a preview of Rappan Athuk, including the dreaded Level 5B with no monsters:)).

Thanks all for the excellent time and to Rob, Blackmoor and others for the feedback on kickstarter offers. FGG is making this event our annual meeting place. Speaking for all 7 of us (plus the future CEO, my 10 year old daughter Jillian), we had a great time with great people, and will get registered back up as soon as Doug posts next years registration.
