I decided not to show the deckled edge as the framer said that they would have to use some sort of adhesive to hold the print in place.

No ... though I'd love to have it! He seems to be able to perfectly re-capture the style of his Fiend Folio work of ~30 years ago.

Nicholson posted the picture of it himself, near the end of his most recent blog posting (9/16/10). Lots of other pics posted throughout the blog.

http://russnicholson.blogspot.com/2010/ ... paris.html

In his 8/17/10 post he wrote on the subject of private commissions:

Occasionally, I'm commissioned to do personal work. I've been approached over the years by a few people to do private work but many never reply after I've told them my fees. Whether original artwork, which they expect for a pittance, or newly commissioned pieces, there are some people who appear to think such drawing takes no time at all, and involves little or no work. It's just a drawing after all. I beg to differ.

My rant, but enough, let's press on. Below see a few examples of personal work

It's spelled right once, too. I think it was part of the gag.

Any idea on when the artist will be decided and approached? Life has taken too much time away from gaming and gaming-related stuff in the last few months, and I don't get to check here as much as I'd like. I hope not to miss this piece, like I did the last one.

I'm sure the art committee will put it top of their list to specifically let you know first, in recognition of your contribution to the community.

I'd expect the committee to be taking time out. I just wanted to keep interest alive until the board as a whole felt it was time to move on to another commission.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

You are correct.  Late last month, the following statements were made in the EO thread:

grodog wrote:The EOC team has been discussing when to start a 2nd commission project, since mid-June.  We definitely plan to take a break, but are discussing things.

benjoshua wrote:.....However, what Allan said is correct, and the committee plans to hold off on opening official discussions and possibilities for a couple of months.  Rest assured that the committee does want input from the community; we're just not in a position right now to deal with it.  Frankly, we haven't finished this project yet.  We want to give it our full and enthusiastic attention.   8)
