Malc,

While some people paid immediately up front, Bill had to wait for others to pay up before shipping the package, and at the time prior to Xmas we were in a really sh!tty situation with the Post Office in London and the International Hub. With all the backlog and all the AHs working for RM over the Xmas period, I encouraged Bill to delay shipping until the beginning of the year.

The package is on the way and I'll ship to you Recorded as soon as it's with me. If you'd like to track the package on it's way over the Atlantic, PM me and I'll pass along the details.

Hi,

its now Feb 13th - somewhat passed the beginning of the year.

At least I know that next time an Ebay seller takes 3 months to ship you something they have in hand that you will be ever-so forgiving.

Look forward to it arriving.

There's a difference between someone keeping ahold of something and shipping it late (for whatever reason), and someone saying "I shipped it eight weeks ago and no I don't have any proof." There is also a big difference between a respected board member who is trying to develop a publishing career, and an a55hole thief who has been committing fraud on eBay for the better part of a decade.

Yes, I am simpathetic and considerate of new enterprises, and no, I still think Jonb is an a55hole and I won't wait 8 weeks for someone to ship me something I buy on eBay. Comparing the two to make your point is erroneous and just another way of throwing your dummy out of the pram.

Lumping Bill in with some Ebay crook is incredibly harsh. I understand you are frustrated and impatient, but there is no indication Bill is absonding with your cash. Like those of us on the EO committee you can only learn by doing, and making some mistakes along the way.....I'm sure Bill would have liked to have done things differently; I know being on the EO committee there are things we would change if we did it again. Experience is the best teacher.

Exactly, this was the first product launch by a new company. Yes, it could be quicker although this isnt a single sale but many and I think you can see the difference already with RC2 & 3, so I'm giving Bill support in this venture and long may it last.

I stand by what I said. I am not getting particularly excited about it - or I would have demanded a refund via Paypal 2 months ago.

Interesting that you would think of certain very bad ebayers in particular, when I never mentioned anyone. Your comparison, not mine.

I really don't want Bills venture to go the way of Pied Piper - how much bad press did they get on here? And if everyone sits around saying "oh yes, its all fine" then that is exactly what will happen.

And what happens to non-acaeum people in the Uk or Australia who have bought this module? How would you explain the delay to them? Shipping pools are not a workable idea, unless the customers get together beforehand.

The fact I can get RC2 to the Uk both faster and cheaper than RC1, when it was published, what, 2 months later?, is just wrong.

I haven't bought anything from Pacesetter yet. If I was to buy all three modules would they be shipped to the UK on Wednesday then?

Yes. Mailed to Ian M. and he mails from there.

Given the nature of the discussion that prompted you to post in the Shady Dealer thread (Jonb vs. Lisa's_Stuff), your intent to draw the comparison here was quite clear. I'm not the only person to have picked up on that.

I am not sure what you mean by cheaper. Everyone paid exact shipping via priority mail. Also, I have already apologized to you and everyone else in the UK and Austrailia who's shipment was delayed. I accepted full responsibility and I have guarranteed that it will not happen again. It seems that is not enough. So be it. I refunded your purchase yesterday because you are completely disappointed. I really can't do much more that what I have said and done.
Also, you had enough faith to buy the other modules and I am very grateful that you have. I appreciate that. And I will assure you that if you continue to support this venture, you will not be disappointed.

oh no Ian, I trust Bill completely. he may have made some mistakes, but I think he is prefectly genuine.

I don't, however, trust YOU, as I have previously stated.

You are just getting upset because I said it publicly, but I have not trusted you for a long time over your comments about encouraging theft, and I am not the only person to think that either.

I am also not going to be drawn into another of the same arguments you had with blarkie.

You might as well be brutally honest and tell me what you think I'm going to do?

Do you think I'm going to keep your module and pretend I shipped it to you? Or do you think I'm just gonna slip it into a paper envelope and stick a stamp on it? Maybe pick out the worst of the bunch and send you that one? Or sit on it for a month before I decide to post it? What precisely do you think I'm going to do?

You've put me in a really awkward position by labelling me wrong-doer before I've ever sold you anything or shipped anything to you. If anything goes wrong in the mail, I'm well and truely screwed. Especially considering the well documented problems with Royal Mail in your area. I really don't want you running around telling everyone how I stole from you. or screwed you over. Especially seeing as I do a lot of trade with people on these boards.

I am pretty relaxed about the shipping. I have two numbered RC1s coming my way (he says happily) - but all this is a hobby-enterprise, you always get small problems along the way. The main thing is that we have more old school games being printed (and played)
