Those pages might be the article "Chainmail Additions" by W. A. Rogers from Lowrys Guidon #6 (1973):

http://www.tomeoftreasures.com/forum/vi ... php?t=2045

A major point of interest here for Guidon fans is the section on Chainmail rules additions. There are sections for Ship-to-ship combat, including Boarding, Galleys, Ramming, Greek Fire, and Cannon; for Siege, including Ballista, Ladders, Building Siege Equipment, and Unhorsing; and Some Fantasy Extras, including Orcs, Heroes, Spells, and Morgul Blades with description and Fading Table

Just out of interest, are you in the US or UK? (I may have missed if you said already)

If you ship worldwide, you may raise the profile of it.

You may also want to read the 'Shady Dealers' & Cougarrinard threads, as there will be names amongst those who will shaft you if they buy it.

It would always be worth (if you knew people here on the site) offering it up for private bidding here. You may well get a lot more, I don't know.

But, as I said earlier, if you sell on ebay, don't get sucked in by someone making you a 'good' BIN private offer. I know you have been fortunate enough to land this great set, but they will be shafting you all day long..

good luck with the sale

Make sure you fill the empty space of the box with bubble wrap so that the box doesn't get smashed in transit.  Individually bag each book, bubble wrap the box itself, and finally zip lock the bubble wrapped box before placing in your shipping container of choice.  Document each step of packing with photos just to be sure.

If you ship it through someone like UPS Store, they will guarantee the packing job:  it'll cost at least $40-50 or so, including insurance (I shipped a $1500 woodgrain set and my shipping total was $45 IIRC; your cost would presumably be somewhat higher, assuming that your box sells for more).

In general you'll do better to list items individually, but I'm not sure about the CM Additions:  including them with either book would help boost the value (not that either needs too much help ;) ).

I would go to a comic book store and bag-and-board all the smaller booklets, before packing.

Also, I would sell the items individually, as opposed to one whole lot. I think you'll get a lot more interested buyers that way.

well, either the staples are silver and shiny or rusty ... some rust worse than others since it can end up staining the pages where the staples are.

High Res photos are best in my book.. trying to scan the items can be a problem if you aren't careful .. opening the books, laying them on a scanner etc.. more chances to bend/crease a page or tear one etc ...

Has the printing been verified yet?  Are you certain it is a 1st printing?
