Nope, that's not me.

I watched exactly 2 min of that video, and the other 5 min and 38 seconds I decided to ignore in favor of things that are more important : figuring out the 1E XP values of C1-C10, F1-F10, MU1-MU10, T1-T10, M1-M10.

I have just finished ritually preparing a copy of UK6 for ritual sacrifice. 52 hours of careful fingerpainting with guacamole and salsa sauce.

If that was me, you would know it because I would either be wearing
a) spandex
b) a loincloth
or c) nothing at all

as well, you would see a nearly complete (-1 mod) 1E collection in the background.

Uhh ... whatever guys. I don't have time to contemplate value systems, and how much a piece of paper is worth, because I am late for a date (Art Gallery in Wisconsin ... the Learjet awaits).

I prefer to keep my hobby within my game friends and not my beer and football friends. Nutters like this remind me of 'that' US movie in the eighties who 'saw' the D&D world in real-life. But for now, I shall step away from the troll.

I am awed : DSG.27, or PO.S&P:Strength/Endurance?

So how much is that [ie. that = a hypothetical anybook] book worth?
Whatever it is, it won't buy what it takes to run a marathon.

I am able to crawl 26 miles after being brought to -15 hp, but being able to run 2 miles when at full HP?

Is being in good physical shape more useful than having a really bad attitude, on a day-to-day basis?

Nope. I still maintain that having a really bad attitude is more important than being physically fit, but after seeing that vid, even I am going into the sports store to look for some new running shoes tommorrow.

If I have any wisdom, I'll stop posting in this thread (BTW, hints to the ideas in the original post : value, what is?. ps. art), and start running back and forth, to the Post Office and back.

PS. Their _value_ is much the less if they cause you to ignore nutrition, and the needs and fitness of your physical body.

The End

People should be required to take a psychological exam to make sure they are mentally competent to post on this forum.  :?

On second thought....that would probably weed out over half the people that already post....including me.

I wonder how long it would take for me to edit all of my almost 3000 posts to say "I like cake"?

I've spent many years trying to find a chick who would allow us to roll dice on her uncaged fun bags while we played. I may have to break down and pay a pro.

Ahh, yet another reason why I will have nothing to do with Dragonsfoot every again.  Steve must be teaching stream of consciousness posting over there.

How did you get 3000 posts?

It feels like you just joined the forum :?

Egads! I do NOT represent the average poster at Dragonsfoot.
They hate me there even more than I am hated here. :)

Seriously, Dragonsfoot is *the best* site for 1E on the net.
Just because one idiot posts there doesn't mean that they are all idiots.

If one is into _the game_, there is no better place to go (they don't even charge Sage fees!).

...

[sigh]
Oh well.

I guess that Acaeum isn't the greatest place in the world to present my creative writing projects.

Hey guys, look on the bright side : at least I wasn't posting my poetry.

Hey guys, sorry to those who have read my posts, and sorry to those who have contemplatd the above idea, if even for a nanosecond. I'm sure you'll recover, after a few years of therapy.

The most important thing is that I have survived another thread with my humor intact :
see you all at Casa Bonita,
and don't let people know that you were all killed by a multiclassed 1st level jester / idiot. (Darn fumbles ... how many 1's can you roll in a row? Oops. I guess that even God hates me. Well, looking on the bright side, that was a helluva lot of XP.)

oh well
[sigh]

:)

PS. As xraygord correctly notes, I log on as prespos at Dragonsfoot and Candlekeep and Canonfire: sporadically, I have been at those boards for a while. (modheaven at Dragonlance)

Just to make things explicity clear: this Steve guy is *NOT* the idiot that was referred to in my previous post. By now, I would hope that things would be pellucid as to the identity of this aforementioned hero (see Dragon magazine #3 (page twenty-eight), for a partial quantification of his many heroic skills and abilities).

Can anyone note this Steve's guy's exact DF name? I love stream-of-(non-ordinary)-consciousness writing, anything that's creative, especially within the context of 1E.

Attempts at creativity don't always work out (ie. go over well), but, as I say:
oh well, try something more outrageous next time.

Hope to encounter y'all sometime in the future,

John

Don't listen to them Modheaven, you are officially my new favorite poster.  We could use a little stream of conciousness rambling now and again.  Don't let 'em scare you off; we need more mind-boggling wackiness to these pages!
