I have a tendency to stick to one copy of most everything, with a few exceptions.  I have been collecting for about eight years now and just recently decided I wanted to pick up the various monochrome modules simply for the sake of nostalgia.  I don't need 12 DMG's for chrissakes.  :wink:

I'm not a print run junkie.  I've got a list of things I want, of which I want one of them, and don't really care which printing.

The only time I'm interested in multiple printings is when something changed between printings (other than errata & cover).

1st print woody; 1st/2nd print hybrid woody (1st print booklets 1 & 2; 2nd print booklet 3 and box); 2nd print woody purchased from Gary Gygax in his basement; 3rd print woody with goldenrod ref sheets (and left-hand label on box lid + GH); 3rd print "Kjarsgaard" woody that came with TSR in-house sheets; 4th print whitey; 5th print whitey; 6th print whitey; 1st print Holmes Basic with white box bottom; 1st print Holmes Basic with printed box bottom (orange d6); 1st print Holmes Basic with printed box bottom (pink d6); 2nd print Holmes Basic; 3rd print Holmes Basic.

I vaguely remember this discussion, what was the final consensus on whether this was a separate print or a transition to the 2nd print?  How does the box bottom compare to the 2nd & 3rd print box bottoms?

If you don't mind commenting, aren't those goldenrod ref sheets with the 3rd print like extremely rare?

Yeah, those are the goldenrod sheets under box 4 from the left.  They're slightly too large for the box.  Also with staple holes in one corner (the sheets, not the box :D).

Rebuilding has been much slower than the painful but necessary sell-off.  I try to look at it more like "strategic re-focusing" of my interests.  Helps get you through those sleepless nights.  

Don't see any obvious differences between those two Holmes box bottoms.
