Thanks anyway Al. Firewall issue. Paypal must have been up to something over-night. Has anyone been checking the Paypal discussion forums on eBay? It seems as if some sellers are finally waking up and realising all is not well after all.

I just phoned PayPal. They were down yesterday, and today you need to clear your Internet Explorer Cookies for it to allow you to log in. Up until an hour ago I wasn't able to log in either through eBay or direct from the PayPal site. In IE, go to Tools/Internet Options, select delete cookies, and then shut down and restart.

Thanks MB, yeah I did all the delete cookie stuff but also discovered their site was trying to download a component my firewall disagreed with. The firewall was then blocking the URL for 60 minutes having classified it as a severe threat. I eventually had to accept the download in order to proceed. That's bang out of order, there must be a valid reason why the firewall protested so what is it they are trying to download exactly? I trust Paypal less and less each day and it's starting to dawn on me what sort of people I've given my financial information to. I mean, we just hand over this info on the assumption it will be treated properly and the people at Paypal even know what the hell they are doing. Fancy having non-secure items on a secure page, for instance. It's beyond laughable. These are the very basics they are getting wrong. What else I wonder?
