Same here, which is why I'll admit that nostalgia does play some role in my thinking.

But, seriously, those issues were a great value, too. Interesting articles (on a number of different game systems), great old-school artwork, frequent freebies such as modules or even complete games ... hell, even the ads were fun. All for a price that was easily affordable with my paper route profits.  :)

All issues from 30 to about 100 were well used with my group. In particular we ran all the adventures that were included from the various contests.  Forest of Doom, Citadel by the Sea, Ruins of Andruil, Barnacus City of Peril were as good as any module with a letter on it in that time period.
