I liked it as a good glimpse into the history of gaming, what a session could have been like over 30 years ago.  In several spots it reminded me of WG5, and there were a few very good set encounters.  A lot of arbitrary "pull this lever and you die" stuff...too many for my style of gaming.  Also, it's impossible to run "right out of the box" so to speak. Most encounters are only given as a listed amount of monsters and aren't detailed, for example an encounter might be "Five 7th level priests" or "Five 8th level mages" (actual encounters) which would mean plentyof work to be done preparing that encounter.  All though the module Rob has posted "commentary" sections that let you know what he was thinking as he wrote up a particular encounter.

The map is very cool too, basically a photocopy of the original map, something I haven't seen done before but as rendered I don't know why someone hasn't done this method before. All in all, a very nice product, it would require a LOT of work to actually run though.

Yeah, and Rob's comments indicate that they did a lot of making up of shit on the spot in the Lake Geneva campaign.  I like that approach, too, and usually end up DMing that way regardless of how much reading and preparation I've done ahead of time.  That's one reason I really don't like the 3e+ adventures...way too packaged.

As I said before, though, Bottle City is a great module, and I'm glad I supported it.  I can't wait to run it.

I would have paid to have my maps packed into a roll tube rather than folded in fourths.

At $150 per package, I would think it would have been packed better anyway. Perhaps not a tube for the map, but certainly with some sort of hard backing to prevent the postal folks from bending the packages in half as some have stated was done.

Frankly, if PPP is serious about regaining some customer trust, all future releases need to be sent in Priority Mail tubes. These are available for free from the USPS, so there's no excuse possible to not do it.
