Alright in lieu of apparenetly underwhelming support, maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all. Not one person has responded in the last 24 hours on 2 different sites even to say they think the idea sucks.    Oh well, so much for that.

Nothing wrong with the idea ... from what I'm seeing right now, though, it looks like people are more comfortable with posting either straight text or else adding to threads like the one at DF where people are posting photos directly to the thread. So we're seeing a lot of photos, it's just that they're scattered around instead of organized and in a single location.

I'd be willing to chip in a few bucks, if there is a group gift of some sort.

Went for a bike ride this morning under an utterly clear and cloudless sky, the first clear morning in months here, reflecting on what lies ahead for the day in my home state of Wisconsin.  

The Danes have a saying, maybe originating with the old norse, that if the sun shines on your birthday it means you've been good all year.  I like to think the same applies to your entire life if the sun shines on the day of your funeral.

Never a better reminder that life and death go hand and hand..from Gary's funeral to the birth of your child in 24 hours, I guess your wife isn't going to let you work "Gygax" somewhere into the baby's name????
