Looks good, bookmarked, and when I get a chance I'll sign up as a buyer, and then as a seller.  At least we won't have to get flummoxed by the silly eBay D&D categories for individual cards, etc.  

And if some seller would like to list a bunch of DCCs from 37-52 then I'll buy them from you off this site.

Hey Doug,

That was a good price for a 10 year SSL certificate.

I've priced them before from Verisign and Thawte and they are crazy expensive.  

If you get a chance can you PM me with a link to where you purchased yours?

Meaning Verisign, goDaddy or some public authority...

I have applied for a certificate on Friday, says it takes 3-4 business days.. so I generated a local 1024 bit certificate to at least encrypt any data typed in until I get the "trusted certificate".

You can click the option to proceed with no problems...

If you view the certificate,it will show it was issued by RPG Marketplace and to RPG Marketplace and is valid from 02/29/08 - 02/28/09.. the details should show the serial number:

008A E8AA 7F01 5070 6C

and a thumbprint of :

E5A2 885B B139 21CB ED56 EDA7 9BF3 88E5 E3F4 ECFE

if you really need to check all that before logging in.

As soon as I get the new certificate next week, I'll get it installed.

Once I get a day to sit around and mess with it, I hope to "mirror list" about half my ebay store items to the site, to provide an alternative to ebay if a Acaeum member wishes to purchase something from me.  Plus I need to balance out all those high ticket gee-gaws of Doug with some "ordinary" stuff for the merely mortal.    BTW just shy of 40 members, not bad for a week's time!

I signed up to the site to be able to use the watch item feature for the Judges Guild items that I monitor.

Does anybody know if the item is sold will it still be visible on my watch items list (indicating that it is sold) or will it disappear?

Yup, I second that and I'm going to stick with it as, unlike some folks here that rely on sales for their main income, I can take it or leave it. I sell because it helps me fund my personal collection and because I enjoy it most of the time. I certainly enjoy it a whole lot more now that eBay will be sending me an invoice for ZERO pounds and ZERO pence next time around. However, we do need some sort of a strategy to pull customers in. I noticed the search engines had found the site but failed to drill down to the auctions, only picking up the top pages. That might be down to the first pass at a mutli-stage indexing run, I'll keep looking. But who's up for collaborating and coordinating our efforts? That would be better than each of use rowing alone I think. I have an eBay account with a high reputation, plenty to sell and not a concern for their rules and regulations anymore. How can I leverage that to get traffic into RPGMP? All ideas welcome whilst I think up a few of my own.

Mike, Doug, In the 3rd quarter I'll have a bit more time on my hands and was thinking it might be useful to put together a database of item descriptions and images culled and grown from all the various selling lists from members here who wanted to participate. Like an ISBN lookup we could then produce an RPG item lookup to allow sellers to list with ease. I've got about 200 Chaosium/ Cthulhu and 200 GDW descriptions, dates, page counts, postal costs tucked away - between the rest of you you probably cover everything ever produced. Listing is always the most time consuming part of selling (excluding queueing at one of the 4 post offices we have left in the UK). If we could make that a breeze, and I don't think it would be so hard to do, it might encourage a lot of new sellers. We could also kick in selling histories etc. to give sellers an idea of how to position their items for sale. Lots of possibilities if anyone is interested, I'd do the work but you'd need to supply the data - probably in something like Turbo Lister format. And Doug, if you fancy collaborating, we could get pretty close to a minimal clicks listing process that beats the hell out of Turbo Lister, which a good bit of kit but still means users have to do the work themselves. Even if people didn't use it to sell on RPGMP, the description could still carry "Produced by RPGMP Lister" or something along those lines, free advertising. Anyway, it's an idea.
