While a photo of GG signing all the stuff he signed would be great, the majority of what he signed was done before cell phones were commonplace or had cameras. The only way you would have a pic of GG signing anything from prior to 2000 would have been to take a picture with an old film camera. I'd be surprised if even 5% of people did that back then, thus the majority of GG signed items(or any TSR signee prior to 2000) will be unauthenticated. But you of all people should know that. But you of all people also know that GG DID sign tons of stuff legitimately.
Would it be great if every GG signed item had a photo of him signing it? Yes. Would it increase the value? Probably. Is it reasonable to expect a GG signed item to have a photo? No
And quite frankly, including all that in the apology, makes the apology sound insincere.
BTW a good authenticator can easily tell the difference between a real signature and one made via tracing.
