This is why I never list anything in an auction format

Nice snag by someone, hopefully an Acaeum member!

** expired/removed eBay auction **

The seller didn't help themselves with their BIN amounts.

Missed it by seconds.

Saw the listing here..clicked over to eBay..it was still for sale

But, it didn't specify a shipping method/price to the US

So like a dummy, I scrolled down to click on his shipping tab to see if he had any more info there, he didnt

Backed up and the buy it now button was now gone, and only option left was to add to my watchlist

This threw me off for a few seconds until the realization hit me, gone

Thought to click on the bids tab, sold 38secs ago

I really doubt I'll ever stumble on one again at that great a price...

Someone got a heck of a deal on what looks like a beautiful 1st Printing Monster Manual:

If someone here was fortunate enough to snag it, please let us know if the condition is a good as it looks from the pics and if it has the errata sheet.

UK auction, likely a UK buyer perhaps. Not me though, I missed it sadly :)

Usually BINs are the opposite - unrealistically high.  Seller should have listed the set as an auction.  Oh well, worked out for the buyer!  Hopefully someone from The Acaeum.

Deals can still be found!

I guess I can take credit for this one now that it has arrived.

Just could not pass it up and it's just a nice as it appears in the pictures.  Both the set and all of the booklets, with the exception the Chainmail, are basically new.  And even the Chainamil is still pretty good overall, just the spine is showing some wear.

Thanks.

I have to admit, that as I was buying this, I was having memories of everyone here being awed when Paul bought a 1st print for like $4k like 20 years ago and now here I am buying a 3rd for $6,200 and am like "Take my money!", lol.

ETA:  I just went down memory lane searching and I was even wrong.  It wasn't $4,000, it was $2,200.00. Geez.
