For those of you that have insurance specifically for your collections, do they have any special requirements?
Like a monitored burglary/fire alarm system, or anything else.

I contacted my home owners insurance company today. They told me they can add a rider in which there will be no deductible if there is a loss, because it is a collection. I just have to provide the names and values of each book and any other items. I do have to update the values as necessary, and submit them.

I think for mine there are discounts for risk reduction items like that (and say, fire suppression), but it's not a requirement.


Areas of interest/knowledge: Harn, WFRP, Ars Magica, anything BRP based such as CoC, Runequest, Pendragon and all their related games
