Due to a number of people asking for more information about the 1st Print Woody, I am including more detailed photos.  It is complete and a solid copy. The box is in very good shape and honestly very hard to find in this condition.  The booklets and reference sheets show some discoloration from age. Thanks!

It is with great honor I was asked by Alex Kammer to assist in the Gamehole Auction this year, helping Bill Meinhardt (Stratochamp) and Zach Glazar (Nogard) with selling an incredible collection of gaming goodness. The majority of items were donated/consigned by a few noted names in the community (Scott Brand, Garrett Ratini, Chris Korczak) and the majority of the proceeds went to the charity Extra Life, which did very well Saturday. The consigned items had 15% of their total go to Extra Life, while the donated items were 100%.

I actually auctioned the items, with Alex assisting as my voice periodically gave out, and Bill providing much needed guidance on item descriptions (Stratochamp spent over 8 hours,  total, grading each item and checking for any flaws, damage, etc so that all the buyers would be happy with their item when purchased without their having to be removed from the protective coverings). Zach wrote down what each item sold for and to who, which as many of you know is a very unsung duty. Alex's loyal staff helped us out at every opportunity and made sure we only had to worry about the actual auction itself.

It is the opinion of myself, Bill and many that the Gamehole Auction has now become the premiere collectible RPG auction in the convention circuit. The amount of gaming history we went through in a little over two hours was astounding. I will post the list later when we get a chance, but just the 1st print woodgrain alone was amazing....not just a first print but one of the best condition prints I have ever seen. Gus got a deal because that went cheap for $10k, believe me.

Some of the other items included 1st print PHB, DMG and MM's (the MM in Near Mint shape); a 1st print Tegel Manor and First Fantasy Campaign for Judge's Guild, various SW TSR modules (including C1 Hidden Shrine); Unpunched Titan boxed set; Eye of the Dragon limited edition model; some unusual items like a TSR D&D Colorforms and Shrinky Dink sets; and some very interesting hard to find third party items like Tradervale, Ringbearer, and Little Shop of Poisons (still regretting not bidding up for that one).  The auction started out rough as we realized we had no master auction sheet and not one not two but three partial sheets printed in about 6 point font to deal with, but we soon got into a groove and with the help of the audience were able to get these incredible items into the hands of the 60+ collectors that filled the room Saturday night. Let me emphasize I could not have done this without the hard work of all the staff there and Bill, Zach and Alex...we made a good team and I hope Alex asks me to help out again in the future. It's even better knowing that sick kids will be helped out through the money raised at this event.

As soon as we get back home, rest up, and get a chance to write everything down, I'll post the auction list and prices.
