I hit a ton of slowdowns on the way and didn't want to start off the Dinner with the potential of bitching about all the Construction I got caught in. I did get home about 90 minutes faster than I got there with a slower top speed - just a little over 3 hours getting home, not a bad drive at all. I've always liked Indy, though it's been about 20 years since I've been there.Jon - your insight was definitely better than my story (10 people ask someone...) I was thinking about that and a lot about the D&D Movie you guys were talking about while driving home.Andy - Just wanted to clarify, there are games I like to play more than others. I'd rather play RISK than Monopoly. But it's less about how much I like the game than the group of people I'd be playing with. I really don't have any problem with 3rd, 5th edition D&D or Pathfinder or whatever. But then I'd be playing with people a lot younger than I am and that might not be right for them, might not be right for me either. Exactly what you said happened for yourself. I guess I'm writing this because I walked away from there and thought to myself "I don't think I gave the right impression of what I really thought about that" Funny thing about gaming today, you don't even have to meet up in the same room anymore with all the advances online to game with video chat and the rest. I've thought a lot about trying to get that going with the people in my old group that are still around out there. Like most things it's just a matter of being willing to separate time out of your week to do it. Hopefully next Dinner I'll be able to tell you how much fun I'm having playing XXXXX, with XXXXX.
