Well, I mean, you don't -need- to sign up for a tour or whatever to see the museum, it's just going to be open to the public. Tours are more for people who want to have the items all explained to them. I'm sure most of the people on the site here could figure it out.

Then again, a lot of the stuff that we'll be showing from the later years of Gen Con I'll need to keep crib notes for I imagine.

I got three events I wanted (one of which is Hickman's Killer Breakfast, which is in a huge ballroom, so doesn't really count as much of an achievement).  So I had to backfill and find events to fill open blocks.  In the end, it's a pretty good mix.  A couple of Cthulhu events, a Shadows of the Demon Lord event, a Rolemaster event, and one 5th Edition D&D.

Needless to say, Friday evening is left open for the auction.

Now, if Blackmoor got the True Dungeon tickets, I'm all set.   :D

Hey Bracton

I got all the games on my list, I was 1577 in line and it went quickly.  True dungeon is in for sure :)

Now I have to fit in the Horticultural hall thing cool

I was 4486...

I signed up for Pathfinder for Friday and Saturday, and the Agricola Tournament on Thursday. Got all my events, even the high-level Pathfinder event!!!

I wrote up a little preview of what the museum will be like.

Playing at the World: See the D&D Draft at the Gen Con Museum

There are a few things that will be on display there that may be of interest to the community here, like maybe this:

Can someone with an iPhone post a virtual walk-through after the fact, or would that be verboten by copyright restrictions? I think it would be awesome to see!

Exciting news! I love seeing that title page in typescript. Neat how "& Pencil" is added in pencil.  :)

Howdy All,

All Legends of Wargaming events for Gen Con 50 are now up and a few have already sold out! If you want a unique chance to play the games that lead to the creation of Dungeons & Dragons and played at the earliest Gen Cons, now is your chance! Just look under Host: Legends of Wargaming to find all of our events.

Futures Bright,

Paul

Any chance I could get one of the VIG members attending GenCon to pick up a Masks of Nyarlathotop companion book for me at Chaosium on Thursday morning before the masses arrive?

I just read today that they'll have 20 copies available at the show :D

For any of you that have wanted to see some items from my collection, please stop by the museum in Lucas Oil Stadium. I will be bringing some great things.

I am doing tours each day, but I think they might be sold out, I'm not actually sure. But I can't see the harm in "being present" while I'm giving a tour, so please just stop by. I'll be there Thursday at noon, and Fri/Sat at 2 PM.
