I think the other picture is one of the old stock photos but they changed the design afterwards.

Just curious if the  card stock on the books in this new box set is similar to the original.

There are places to get these. I still haven't got mine from Amazon I ordered last March either. But I have purchased 2 sets of 5/ea from another game store (they limit sales to 5 per purchase). When I bought the last 5, they had just gotten 20 more in stock since the week prior, so no clue why Amazon can get them.

I have 10 of them, got a good price. $95.00, shipping included (though my Amazon copies I am waiting on are $85.00 shipping included... hope I eventually get those).
Thus why people are selling them on eBay for $120+ in places... if you can't find 'em and you don't really want to look for them, you'll buy it off eBay !

They are supposedly a limited edition so collectible one day ? who knows.

I am keeping the other 8 for the Con in June for anyone that shows up and needs one... probably sell them around $120.00 to make a few bucks for the Con

I have opened one, all the cover art is new, haven't paged through the booklets to compare to see what may be updated... heck they include an Errata booklet so you'd think that means they kept things somewhat original ?

In any case, the wood boxes aren't put together very well, I have already have to glue the long side and a corner together on my son's copy. I guess if you leave them in the shrink, they'll stay together.

I got a shipping notice from Amazon yesterday. I don't recall exactly when I pre-ordered, but it was $85.24. It should arrive tomorrow.  :P

Just got mine in the mail today!! Pre-ordered it in March, that's what, 11 months? lol

Anyway, I'm actually kind of impressed with it! Unlike some other unlucky members, my box is in excellent shape, nice and sturdy. All the reprints are on solid paper, everything looks reasonably reproduced, and the box will look great on my shelf. For $85 I'm completely pleased. Had I been forced to pay $150 for it I'm not so sure I'd be as pleased, but hey. Boooo on the packaging BTW. I picked the box up and it was rattling around inside; they only used some lame air pillow for padding and the box was too wide, so there was plenty of room for wiggle. Luckily it wasn't damaged. YMMV, of course, but, thumbs up from this collector.

I agree - I am pleasantly surprised by the box and contents, e.g. felt bottom, ribbon beneath the books to lift them out,  glittery dice. Sure, the entire thing is gimmicky, but it made me smile when I opened it up.

I noticed embossed numbers near the barcode on the sheet shrink wrapped on the outside of the box. Mine: 32631.

My set from Amazon which I preordered last March finally arrived on Wednesday.  A second set ordered from B&N arrived on Friday.  Both are in great shape and each has the same embossed number:  32631.  The question now,  should I open them??? :)

Hello Mrs. Cleaver, Theodore.

Gee, Mrs. Cleaver ... That certainly is a lovely dress.

My copies bought through a Canadian chain also have 32631 embossed on the bottom paper sheet.
